Great stay

Lovely independent hotel , ideally situated just off A1 for stop off stay ,great breakfast and welcome air conditioning . Good pub restaurant for evening meal . Great service it was nice to see local staff taking a pride in their job .

Brilliant stay - complimentary room upgrade which was a lovely surprise. We had dinner and breakfast, both were amazing. Thank you very much! Our only wish was we had another night and more time to enjoy the scenic location.

Nice spacious parking area with plenty of spaces. Staff are very friendly and helpful, they could not do enough to assist. Room was comfortable and well supplied. Peaceful area so had a great nights sleep. Would definitely stay again

Could do better

Nice building with good grounds & easy access. Check-in was quick & efficient. Didn't seem enough staff on the bar for evening, dinner & drinks were relatively slow service. Similar for breakfast, this was closed until exactly the minuel of opening time & then when allowed in all the covered goods, fruit, etc. was still under plastic, coffee machine was not turned on so had to wait for that as well. Server seemed somewhat interested but the food itself was nice.
