Excellent reception. Good restaurant. Good starting to at least three trails on the mountain site. Nearby bus station to other villages. Room narrow, one has little place fo luggages and walking around. Only two glasses in bathrome no other in the room., no fridge or ice, water was only low-warm.

The check in agent was kind and pleasant and my registration processes fast and smooth. The hotel is centrally located to the bus station which was super convenient for me. The hotel has few amenities other than dining, and the rooms are rather basic and small however that is all that I required for my short stay, and the price point matched my needs. Breakfast is included and the variety was very good, particularly the fresh pressed juices. However, the breakfast attendant was extremely rude. I was not greeted at the entrance and after waiting I decided to seat myself. I was later told off and given unacceptable attitude as I inadvertently sat at the wrong table. Evidently there is assigned seating for each room number. I did not notice the sign at the entrance as the message in English was is much smaller print than the other languages. It was not necessary for the attendant to be so openly upset and rude to me for my mistake. I appreciate the need for order however I sat at the table late in the morning when the breakfast room was essentially empty. I really hope the hotel management provides training on customer service emphasizing various situations including what I described. I expect to be treated with respect, welcome, and curtesy, but experienced very much the opposite - as such I do not recommend this hotel.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich, sehr sauberes Zimmer, gutes Frühstück. Den Service mit der vergünstigten Skikarte war für 1-Tagesskikarte nicht möglich da ich nur eine Tageskarte wollte und nicht eine 2-Tageskarte. Ich wollte nur 1 Tag skifahren. Dies sollte auf der Homepage anders beschrieben werden. Davon war ich entäuscht und ging dann nicht skifahren.

Tolles Hotel-Erlebnis in Pontresina!

Wir haben den Aufenthalt im Hotel Bernina sehr genossen. Das Hotel ist ausgezeichnet gelegen, mitten in Pontresina. Das Gebäude ist schon etwas älter, aber das verleiht ihm einen durchaus angenehmen nostalgischen Charme. Neben dem sehr freundlichen Personal ist das reichhaltige Frühstücksbuffet besonders positiv hervorzuheben (inkl. Einhaltung der aktuellen covid-19 Massnahmen). Es konnte ein kostenloser Parkplatz vor dem Hotel genutzt werden und wir konnten vergünstigte Skipässe für die Zeit des Aufenthaltes beziehen.

Friendly atmospheric hotel in Pontresina

We loved the Hotel Bernina in Pontresina. We stayed there for 2 nights after riding the Bernina Express train from Lugano to Pontresina and before catching the Glacier Express in St Moritz. Highlights: they picked us up from the train station when we told them when we were arriving, we requested a mountain view room and got a large corner room with great views, the room was spotlessly clean and comfortable, and all staff were very friendly and helpful. We seemed to be the only English-speaking guests, but that wasn’t a problem.
