"My kids loved being around the animals at the property and waking up to the sounds of cows and horses. We would have loved a tour of the property on one of the tractor trailers included in the stay. The cows and horses were super friendly and calm. The shared kitchen wasn’t the cleanest as it’s shared with some of the station hands. "Great direct access to the pool from our room. Five minute walk to the main high street and your choice of plenty of fabulous restaurants. Room was clean, but a little tired. Good facilities in the room, but more space had been given over to the kitchenette, than space for suitcases or anywhere to put your clothes - so we were unable to fully unpack our small suitcases. Reception team were very good - helpful with answering any questions and booking transfers for us, even before our arrival- thank you!"

"My search through Expedia was for self contained, disability friendly so I was disappointed I had not checked this on booking. Being able to hear noises from neighbors through the wall was uncomfortable. There was room in the unit for a small settee or another chair to make comfortable seating for two people which would have made for a nicer stay."

"Reception staff on arrival and throughout my stay were 1st class. Location was excellent for the beach and short walk to shops and restaurants. Room was small but immaculately clean and ideal for a short 4 night break. If you're looking for 5 star, don't bother but as far as value for money goes, you won't beat this place. I would absolutely recommend if you're looking for clean, basic accommodation with wonderful attentive and courteous staff in beautiful Port Douglas."
