"My kids loved being around the animals at the property and waking up to the sounds of cows and horses. We would have loved a tour of the property on one of the tractor trailers included in the stay. The cows and horses were super friendly and calm. The shared kitchen wasn’t the cleanest as it’s shared with some of the station hands. "My search through Expedia was for self contained, disability friendly so I was disappointed I had not checked this on booking. Being able to hear noises from neighbors through the wall was uncomfortable. There was room in the unit for a small settee or another chair to make comfortable seating for two people which would have made for a nicer stay."

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Peppers. Our room was clean and spacious. The pool area was lovely, but it was not a heated pool so a little cold to go into in July. Breakfast was okay. A good variety of options and fried eggs can be cooked to order. Cleaning of our room during our stay could’ve been better. It was really only a service to change towels, make the bed and empty bins. Floors weren’t cleaned during our 4 night stay which was a bit disappointing. Location of the hotel is fantastic! An easy walk to the centre where food, shops and restaurants are. We will definitely be back and will recommend to family and friends!"

"This property is spacious and nicely located along the 4 Mile Beach, but it is not easily walkable to the town nor any restaurants nearby. The facilities/pools seemed like they could use a deep cleaning although our room seemed to be updated and clean. The restaurants on site are quite good."

"Reception staff on arrival and throughout my stay were 1st class. Location was excellent for the beach and short walk to shops and restaurants. Room was small but immaculately clean and ideal for a short 4 night break. If you're looking for 5 star, don't bother but as far as value for money goes, you won't beat this place. I would absolutely recommend if you're looking for clean, basic accommodation with wonderful attentive and courteous staff in beautiful Port Douglas."
