"We loved our stay at the Dogwood Inn. We had the best of both worlds--a quiet, peaceful setting in the woods with Rte. 25A and all of its conveniences just a short drive away. This was our first trip to Long Island, and we fell in love with the general area, all the old homes in Miller Place, the great Italian food at Savino's Hideaway just down the road, and the tasty treats at McNulty's Ice Cream Parlor. Cedar Beach on the Sound was nearby, and we were only an hour (or less) from the gorgeous South Shore beaches. Port Jefferson was only a ten-minute drive from us and was fantastic--great restaurants and shops and a wonderful museum featuring one of Geo. Washington's spy rings. We didn't get a chance to enjoy all of the bike paths but hope to do so when we return. There's so much more to see!Natalie and Adam, you were terrific hosts. Thank you for making this lovely little inn available and for being so welcoming--the friendly conversation, the fresh flowers on our kitchen table, the fresh eggs! I would recommend your place to anyone visiting the area. We hope to return soon!"

"We stayed here for almost three weeks while our home was being renovated. The host was very accommodating, we were able to have our dog with us and the kids loved staying upstairs and using the spiral staircase. The sun room was our favorite space, you could hear the frogs peeping in the evenings. We were very comfortable there!"
