"This was the most luxurious place we stayed at in Iceland. The property is immaculate. The stunning views of the harbor and even an old sail boat in front of the hotel. There is a hot tub to use with comfy white bath robes. A beautiful hotel bar and dining room. The breakfast was amazing (and included) with a huge selection of elaborate choices. We had a huge picture window in our room overlooking the harbor with a seating area to rest. The beds were so comfortable and the sheets so soft, I wanted to buy them. There was even a fire place and a reading room. Get there early to enjoy your stay, and get a good parking spot (as it's limited)."
Spacious, luxurious house with a lot of natural wood
10/10 Excellent
"About 20 minutes from Akureyri, the view alone is reason to stay here. Quiet, inside and out. You can hear the birds and the water. Concrete walls help keep the inside quiet as well. Cool roof with grasses growing. There are stairs to get to the living level. Note they require a non-electric car so do not expect to plug one in.Easy to get to many local tourist areas for day trips such as: horsebackriding(10 min), Husavik (whale watching, Geoseas), Myvatn(Godafoss waterfall, and spa--but we recommend Geosea geothermal bath instead), hiking the Kaldbakur mountain.Inside, the home is appointed well, note there is not a freezer for when you get groceries. Washer and dryer is lovely; shower is spacious. Hot tub takes a while to fill, so plan in advance. Hosts sent PDF with everything we needed, checking in and out was a breeze. "
"This is a unique property. The full kitchen is available for travelers to use to cook their dinner. If we had known, we would have brought some food to cook. Rooms were nice but there is a flight of stairs for all rooms. Keep that in mind. Nice laundry facilities which we made use of. Nice common sitting areas where we chatted with other travelers. It really is in the middle of nowhere but definitely a place to consider staying at. The man at check it was very helpful. "
"Literally a college dorm that is used as a hotel when students are out for summer. Shares parking with the botanical gardens. They are free and worth a visit."
"Stunning location! Spacious home with extraordinary views of the fjord. Private and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing vacation. Kitchen has a giant fridge and freezer, along with all the utensils, cookware, and small appliances that we needed to cook at home. The bathroom feels like a spa, with a rain shower and heated floors. Smooth check in and check out process. Thomas the host is very welcoming and kind- he provides very thorough instructions of how to find the property, along with great recommendations for the area. Would absolutely recommend!"
Convenient summer house on the Nollur farm at Eyafjord
10/10 Excellent
"The property is absolutely amazing. The views are incredible and the property itself is very modern and well designed and furnished. The floors have radiant heating which was extremely pleasant. About 30-40 minutes from downtown. We stayed for a week and found it to be beyond perfect. Would definitely recommend staying at Nollur farms. The views, property attention to detail will not disappoint. "
