"Spacious and clean rooms with beautiful water view of the strait of Juan de Fuca and Mt.Baker in the distance. Great home-base for exploring the Olympic national parks, less than a six minute drive to the visitor center. We extended our stay two nights to accommodate an injury. Very close to the Olympic Medical Center and surrounded by lots of local eateries, within walking distances. Family enjoyed walking to the Wharf for New Zealand style ice cream at Welly’s every night. We did not use restaurant or hot tub. Pool remained closed for the season. "

"We had an exceptional stay at Chez Zig Zag. The home is beautiful and the setting is spectacular. There are beautiful views of the water from the living and dining areas and such lovely areas to sit outside such as the gardens, swings, fireplace area and dome. The home sits high on the bluff next to the Zig Zag trail which takes you down into town. It is close to so many restaurants and to the ferry station. The proximity to Olympic National Park was wonderful and we used it as a home base to travel to Hurricane Ridge, Crescent Lake and other areas. It was easy to take a day trip to Victoria B.C on the Ferry. Brent and Amy are wonderful hosts. The place is immaculate and stocked with everything you need. It was a pleasure to stay in this home and I highly recommend it. "

"This was the perfect place to stay for my visit to PA! The photos didn’t prepare me for how nice the apartment is. Everything I needed was there, and the location was ideal, both because it was close to downtown and my local relatives, and because the setting is gorgeous. The Porthole is a daylight basement apartment, and the house the apartment is in is right on the water, with a park in the strip of land between the front yard of the house and the Sound. I was there during some cold weather, and had things to do that prevented me from spending much time there, but we did have a very clear day one of the days of my stay, and the view was breathtaking. I highly recommend the Porthole to anyone visiting Port Angeles. "
