"Simple but ok hotel for a one night stay before getting on the ferry. Room smelled a little musty. Very clise to the Black Ball ferry terminal."

"The mountain and water views were spectacular! The hosts were also fantastic! Super-friendly, very respectful of our privacy but most definitely available for questions and suggestions for things to do. Also, every room had so much thought put into it that whenever we looked for something, we found it right where we would have put it. It really is a very well-thought out design. All this and the price was very reasonable. We are most definitely going to return there!"

"Terrific place to stay! So cute and comfortable. Easy walk from the ferry and restaurants. Great location to explore Olympic National Park. Super clean and the hosts have clearly gone out of their way to make sure you have everything you might need. Separate thermostat in each room, so great if you prefer a cooler bedroom amd warmer kitchen. The shower is a step in clawfoot, so would be difficult for those with mobility issues. "

"This was the perfect place to stay for my visit to PA! The photos didn’t prepare me for how nice the apartment is. Everything I needed was there, and the location was ideal, both because it was close to downtown and my local relatives, and because the setting is gorgeous. The Porthole is a daylight basement apartment, and the house the apartment is in is right on the water, with a park in the strip of land between the front yard of the house and the Sound. I was there during some cold weather, and had things to do that prevented me from spending much time there, but we did have a very clear day one of the days of my stay, and the view was breathtaking. I highly recommend the Porthole to anyone visiting Port Angeles. "
