"Cannot recommend highly enough. A small en-suite room with 2 bunk beds for £36 a night - what is not to like. Sparklingly clean and access to kitchen with microwave and toaster. Rooms are newly designed with modern bathroom and one of the best showers I have had. Not much storage space, a bedside locker would have helped by providing a surface to utilise or even a shelf over the radiator. The photo is not the actual property- where is the alleyway on the right?"

"Very nice cottage in a beautiful area. Amazing views from the cottage…it was nice weather so the views were breath taking. Nice cottage inside and out. Huge lovely garden. Nice, comfortable furniture and beds, lovely shower, fully equipped kitchen. Did I mention the views? Things to improve? No WiFi. This is marked on the listing. Didn’t bother us because our phone networks worked well. I really enjoyed the Pride & Prejudice DVD, there was a big selection of DVDs. The curtains were very thin and did nothing to block the wonderful sunrise. Fortunately we always travel with window black-outs. I will return for sure to this property. "

"Nicole and Malcolm make Craigmount so special. Book themed bedrooms to reflect Wigtown, and a lovely sitting room to read or eatch TV. Our double bedded room with ensuite overlooked the garden. The room was quite compact, and made more so by our largish suitcases. If you have big bags, perhaps book a family room. All the rooms are accessible via stairs. The pre-ordered breakfast was freshly cooked and wonderful. Dinner options in town or nearby were limited, except to drive, especially mid-week. Nicole offers a simple evening meal option of a choice of a few home cooked meals, to eat in the dining room. We had her delicious chicken curry one night. BYO drinks. Both Nicole and Malcolm were great sources of local information, and really helpful. Excellent place to stay."

"Staying at Rockpool cottage is a pleasure. Everything you need for a few days is there, right where you need it. And you are thoughtfully hosted from the moment you book. Communication with the hosts is straightforward. The instructions are simple and the interactions helpful and considerate.On arrival you find an eleganty decorated and well thought-out property. The living rooms are comfortable; the kitchen is well-equipped with thoughtful provision of tea, coffee, washing-up liquid, dishwasher tablets, salt, pepper, oil; the bedrooms are homely; the bathrooms sleek; and the garden inviting. There are books, games, and a smart TV. It's all easy.And the quiet triumph in a cottage that isn't looking to draw attention to itself is the decor. The colours of the sand, the rock, the sea, the surf and the hills are used throughout, gently tieing you to your surroundings.All that leaves you with nothing else to think about other than how you'll relax and explore the surrounding coast, towns, villages and countryside."
