"4 días antes de salir, recibo un mensaje del dueño, al que todavía no hemos visto, diciendo que le ha fallado el servicio de limpieza y que si podíamos limpiarla nosotros por 95 € (dinero que me ha costado varios correos y 2 semanas recibir). "Pros: La casa está en una ubicación ideal para poder visitar los Pirineos franceses y los pueblos de los alrededores. Además, no está demasiado lejos de lugares como Toulouse o Lourdes, por si se prefiere otro tipo de excursiones. Aunque el pueblo es pequeño, cuenta con los servicios imprescindibles, incluso con un Lidl a menos de cinco minutos en coche. "If you are looking for peace and quiet in the country with the sound of cow bells and birds, this is perfect! The home has been lovingly restored by the owners and was very comfortable. The owners were also so lovely and welcoming, even helping us as we got our car stuck on the drive (the drive is steep!) but the view is totally worth it. We would highly recommend!"

We were only a few minutes from Bagnères-de-Luchon with its lovely market, and not much further to Peyragudes for family sledging (we were too late to go ski-ing). "The hotel is located on a side road in a modest size village. Very little traffic passes so it's not likely to attract passing trade but does mean it's very quiet with no vehicle noise in the rooms. The staff speak good English so communication isn't a problem. The room has a balcony with views of the mountains in the distance. Breakfast costs extra but is of high quality. The only issue is the soap dispenser in the bathroom was empty but the shower gel provided an alternative."
