"The staff was lovely and very attentive, a really nice man at the front desk. The bathroom was amazing and beautiful, a great shower with a rain shower above and a second shower head below it with amazing pressure. I had a lovely comfortable chair and desk for doing work. The bed was really comfortable, soft pillows and crisp cool sheets. Plenty of storage drawers and wardrobe; a kettle, TV, hairdryer, heater and fan were provided which came in handy. Only very small issue was it could be a little loud occassionally with traffic, the morning recycling truck and roadworks were going outside my window, but overall a good size beautiful room and an excellent stay - would definitely recommend and stay again!"

"Despite being a dog-friendly hotel, it was clean. There were also no hairs whatsoever under rhe bedsheets on arrival. There was some wear and tear, such as a broken bedside table drawer which had been glued together poorly, some wear and tear in the bathroom, on wardrobes. The view over the sea was lovely, and the room was enormous (2 bunk beds and a king bed - sleep 6 room, we went as a couple with 2 young children). The room was quite quiet, it was warm. The hotel was very childfriendly for younger children, with multiple kids movies showing at the little cinema (we did not go as we have our own home projector setup and had seen all the movies showing), the pool looked nice, and there was a soft play area, plus some free games and paid pool table (£1/play). The breakfast food was okay, the vegan burger at the restaurant was nice. There's a lovely ice-cream shop not far - called Freddo's - it's a short 5 min drive/ 20 min walk on a nice weather day, with a very pleasant staff and delicious cornish ice creams. ChatGPT reccomended we go there and it didn't disappoint, and I make my own ice cream at home. I'd happily stay at this hotel again, despite not owning a dog, nor wanting to, so don't be put off by dogs, because Newquay in general is extremely dog-friendly anyway and you'll see loads everywhere. "A beautiful house in a quiet location with a perfect, secure garden ideal for dogs. The communication from Lisa, the house keeper, was brilliant. The village has 2 pubs within a short walking distance and the beach is 10 minutes walk away. Crantock is a lovely place in the summer but the quietness in the winter months and the great effort that is put into the village Christmas lights makes this a perfect spot for a winter break too."
