The Anchorage is a spacious 4-bedroom holiday cottage in Church Bay

10/10 Excellent

"A group of 3 separate families that all live in different parts of the UK, meet up once or twice a year. This time i chose The Anchorage in North Wales on Anglesey, literally a 100 meters or so from the sea and a perfect quiet small beach. We were unfortunate to be staying there during 3 storms Austen, Boelo and Chloe, but even with the horrendous wind and weather our time there was unspoilt, there was plenty to do within a 40 min drive and an amazing cafe 50 meters from where we were for a coffee / tea or even a cocktail, as well as huge selection of food from a light snack to a full size meal. The property was perfectly laid out to suit us and 2 dogs heating was more than adequate, the is a small log burner in the living room which we only used once- but found it wasn’t really needed. Kitchen had everything you would need for a week or any time away from home, all utensils pots, pans, etc etc, Living room had 3 large settees and the dining room has a large 8 seater table. All 4 bedrooms were twins or doubles in each had either an en-suite or nearby bathroom, and a downstairs shower and toilet / wash basin / sink. We did experience multiple power cuts because of the storm, but the whole property had ab automatic back up generator that fired up with in a few seconds . Overall an amazing property that we don’t have any negative feedback for. Definitely a return visit on the cards !!!!! Or maybe check out other properties managed by Oyster"

Gwlgri - an apartment that sleeps 8 guests in 4 bedrooms

Anglesey coastal retreat, 4 bedrooms, sleeping 8, modern amenities, ocean view, 5 mins from beach

8/10 Good

"I would have given the property 5 stars but a couple of things let it down. The bins (all4) in the kitchen had not been emptied, the small oven was dirty, as was some of the children’s plastic cups/plates. I did make the Hosts aware and they said the cleaners would be spoken to. There is no grill which would have been nice for cooking bacon in a morning and I would have liked a teapot. The rugs in the two bigger bedrooms were a slip hazard. The property was lovely, with beautiful sea views and the beds were very comfortable. The two sitting rooms, both with tv’s, was great and all the showers were brilliant. The hot tub was so relaxing and the sunsets amazing."

2 bedroom accommodation in Llanfairynghornwy
