This place reeks of history and stories. If only the walls could talk. This reminds me of a bordello of another era. Single rooms are clean. Bathrooms are great. Easy to share them. Nothing luxurious. Great location. Lovely sitting outside area below the rooms. Fun bar. Very pet friendly. Staff were great. I left something in my room and a woman came and found us sitting outside. She returned the property. So conscientious. Good value for the price!!!
The bar is really cool and the outdoor space is lovely. The room we were in had a sink and a very comfy bed. They are not kidding when they say it is loud in the rooms at night due to music from the bar. The keys are very fussy. There are separate rooms for the toilet and others for the showers. I would stay here again though!

For the price, you canât beat it. If youâre looking for luxury, though, this is not your place. The rooms are very tiny and theyâre very old, which is the point, but itâs more of a hostel set up with shared bathrooms down the hall. The location was excellent. We were able to walk down to all the main restaurants and basically just park our car and cruise by foot. The amenities are very basic, but it did the trick!
The hotel is as advertised, as in, it is primarily intended for folks enjoying the festivities downstairs. It was clean, the staff were ridiculously friendly and helpful and the location was close to everything I wanted to do or get to while I was in town. If youâre attending a show at the White Eagle Saloon and you donât mind a steepish stair climb to your room, Iâd recommend checking out these lodgings.

Great space!! What a unique throwback to the early 1900s hotel experience. The staff was great too. Wish I could have been there for the live musicâŚnext time for sure!!
This is a fun place to stay, and definitely the cleanest and coolest at the price. You have to share a bathroom and you can clearly hear the band in the bar, so if you plan to take a bath and go to bed early, look elsewhere. Bonus for being next to Bernstein Bagel's for an easy morning treat.
funky cool historic place with Polish and haunted history, in beautiful condition. Fun with the rock bands downstairs playing 70s favorites before bedtime. Comfortable. convenient to the light rail. Very gracious staff.
The person who checked us in on Dec 4, 2025 at 11:50pm!!! She is a godsend and we really appreciate all her help and her instinct to go above and beyond her usual customer service. We would have been left out in the rain if she had not stepped in. Please give her a raise!!
Unique old saloon and hotel. The bar and restaurant with live music is really nice. The rooms are small but comfortable. There is a bit of noise in the rooms from the live music events.
Sweet and comforting. We went to a show in town and came back late, ordered tots from the restaurant that were so delicious! Slept well, headed out early. Very charming hotel.
The building is old, well cared for with rustic - with character. The bed was comfortable and the room had a small sink. Toilet and shower are communal and I found them to be very clean. There isn't a coffee maker in the room but they bring out coffee in the hallway. There is a wonderful bagel bakery on the same block with coffee if you need it earlier.
I'd definately stay here again but if you want all the usual comforts of a hotel, this is not the place. If you are flexible, it's a fun place to stay
Beds are wonderfulâ-fun, artsy, historic bldg. with a strong music vibe. My reason for being there was to listen to a concert. Coffee is set up in the morning on the hotel floor with real half n half to put in the delicious coffee! I ate dinner there while listening to the musicâ-great food with some healthy choices!

The room was adorable I just donât understand why you get charged $60 plus more after you check in and you paid for your night thru hotel.com. At first I thought maybe a deposit but It is still on my account so that is not it. Any ideas? It says EX charge plus tourism tax
