    The Neighborhood:

Nestled in the heart of the Irvington Historic District, this area offers a perfect blend of old-world charm and modern convenience. Known for its tree-lined streets and beautiful early 20th-century homes, Irvington is one of Portland's most sought-after neighborhoods.

Just a short stroll from your doorstep, you’ll find a variety of local amenities and attractions. Enjoy a leisurely walk to nearby Irving Park, a popular spot for picnics, sports, and community events. The neighborhood is also home to a diverse selection of restaurants, cafes, and boutique shops. Whether you're in the mood for a cozy coffee shop, a trendy eatery, or a unique shopping experience, you'll find plenty of options within walking distance.

Irvington’s convenient location means you’re never far from the action. The bustling Lloyd District, with its shopping, dining, and entertainment options, is nearby. Additionally, the area is well-served by public transportation, making it easy to explore the rest of Portland. The nearby MAX light rail and bus lines offer quick and efficient access to downtown and beyond.

Families will appreciate the schools in the area, as well as the strong sense of community that Irvington residents enjoy. With its picturesque streets, welcoming atmosphere, and proximity to both urban amenities and peaceful parks, this is the perfect place to call home. Whether you’re a foodie, a nature lover, or someone who appreciates historic charm, this neighborhood has something for everyone. Enjoy the best of Portland living in this delightful and dynamic area.

    Getting Around:

🚶 Walking — The Broadway corridor is walkable with restaurants, coffee shops, and local businesses within a short stroll. The Lloyd District and its shopping are also nearby.

🚌 Bus — TriMet Route 77 (Broadway/Halsey) runs along Broadway with direct service to downtown and NW Portland. The nearby Rose Quarter Transit Center connects to multiple bus lines.

🚲 Biking — BIKETOWN bike-share is available in Portland; check the app for nearby bikes. Portland's bike lane network offers another way to explore.

🚗 Driving — Free street parking available (read signs for restrictions). Rideshare (Uber/Lyft) is another option.

✈️ Airport — PDX is accessible by car. MAX Red Line from the nearby Lloyd Center or Hollywood Transit Center connects directly to the airport.

    Other Things to Note:

My building has been fully cosmetically remodeled but the bones are still old. Although there are mini-splits, the place may still struggle to hold to a perfect temperature in more extreme weather. Exterior stairs lead to the private entrance; there is no step-free route. The walls/ceilings can also be pretty thin so please keep in mind that there will be guests in other units during your stay! Shared coin-operated laundry is in the basement of the larger blue building next door.

Upon arriving it seemed as if the refrigerator wasn't as cool as we thought it should be even though it was set on max. I contacted the host and a handyman was dispensed immediately. After some evaluation we were asked to monitor it for a short period at which we didn't see an improvement. I notified the host again and within a couple hours a new refrigerator was delivered and the old one removed. We were extremely pleased with the immediate responses as well as the immediate replacement. I would highly recommend using this host for any future travelers.
