"We loved our stay here. Mark and Kat were responsive and thoughtful hosts (a lovely cream tea welcomed us on arrival). The house had plenty of space for our large group. We liked the private and green location. And we were welcomed everytime we got back to the house by three super friendly dogs who we well in love with! "We loved the atmosphere of the Alverton and its grounds. There was plenty of space for parking and the reception was only a short walk. The rooms we had were very well presented and very clean. I have marked down on the eco credentials as all the lights and television were on when we arrived which wasn't necessary. The terrace was a great place to sit in the late afternoon for a pre-dinner drink. At times the bar staff were talking to each other rather than looking after customers needs but they were always polite. We ate dinner the first night of our stay which was delicious and at a reasonable price. Breakfast was very good too. I would recommend this hotel to my friends."
