Miradouro de Santa Iria was one of my favorite lookout points on São Miguel Island in the Azores. Heralded as one of the island's loveliest viewpoints in my Bradt travel guide, Miradouro de Santa Iria can be found along São Miguel's northern coastline, just east of Ribeira Grande. You can definitely see for miles and I quite like the effect the late afternoon sun creates.
One of the 2 tea plantations in all of Europe. Both are on this island. The only plantations in the world not using fertilizers or pesticides

There is so much to do within walking distance from this house. The beach! Enchanting hiking trails! And two good restaurants. Again all walkable from the house. Plus this is a great place to start a visit to other places in the island.
