Stay at Porto
There was no tea or coffee in room. The room was basic but for the price I guess it was ok.

DO NOT STAY HERE
Worst experience. I had a wonderful day exploring porto & came back around 4pm. during this time, my phone died. When i arrived to check in, i asked if i could just go up to the room with my bag so i could charge my phone for 10 minutes & then come back down to pay. I was made to feel like an untrustworthy criminal. ‘no, no, no!’ they said & physically stood in my way in an intimidating manner. i held up my phone & with the little english they could understand, i pointed at my phone & said ‘dead!…i need to charge…to transfer money'’& made a gesture of plugging in my phone. after 10 long minutes arguing with them they allowed me to get my phone charger & in the most hostile environment i have EVER experienced, they plugged in my charger & stood, again very intimidatingly, & watched as my phone slowly came back to life.i felt incredibly uncomfortable. out of pure shock at what was happening i then transferred money & paid them. the room had 50 mosquitos flying above the bed, the room smelled awful, i immediately wanted to leave. i went downstairs & said i would like a refund the room is not good enough &i won’t be staying here, & they very rudely said ‘no, you’ve paid for it for two nights, & the room is there, if you don’t want it, thats your problem’. Well, this was the last straw. i immediately left & found another hotel and checked out of this dump. it was honestly the WORST ‘hotel’ (if you can call it that) i have ever had the displeasure of experiencing.

Excellent price but low quality hotel
The two main problems are: doesn't have heating ( the place is very very cold, we stay in April and have to sleep with our jackets) and the terrible smell that comes from bathroom. But the excellent price must be considered. The clerk is very friendly. Wifi works at common places (very bad inside the rooms).

Very basic. Noisy rooms in Steet level. Nil A/C or breakfast. Helpful staff. Easy walking ti centre of town. Very small shower. Comfortable beds. Get what you pay for. Go to street to get taxi as taxi driver told us the hotel also gets a cut on increased fare.

Good for half night stay
Good location, basically in old Porto, so main historical sights are in walking distance; around 10-15min walk from Sao Bento train station. However, hotel is not 3 stars at all; rooms doesnt look as they are in the pictures; building is very old so rooms smell of something old. Also, they are dark and not very big; one room had window only from the bathroom; beds are also quiet old. Hotel was good enough for half night sleep but for longer stay I would rather choose something more modern and bright. Nevertheless, u cant ask much for the price we got.
