Loft in Forte Stella, built by Cosimo de' Medici in the 16th century

A wonderful terrace, part of the ancient walls of the Fortress, belongs to the owner of the house. It is possible to eat there, thus enjoying the most breathtaking view of the Portoferraio gulf, the harbour and Mount Capanne. Forte Stella, built in the 16th Century by Cosimo dè Medici, is connected in a few minutes walk through stairs and small streets to the village of Portoferraio. It is therefore possible to switch in few minutes from the quiet and evocative Fortress ( closed to traffic and open to residents only at night) to the lively village, full of restaurants, pubs and colourful boats.The house is very comfortable and the careful and original restauration realized by the Architect owner of the house has increased the value of the wide area in the living-room, with a dining area seating a total of 8-10 closed to the large open kitchen. The four bedrooms are located on two different levels with one bathroom on each level.Height of the rooms located in the lower floor is 2,20meters,due to the historical and environmental ties in the Fortress.For the same reason it was not possible to open windows in the night area, but circulation of air is guaranteed through a silent but efficient air conditioning system.Two beautiful beaches are located within few meters walk from house.,

Geräumig, gut ausgestattet und hervorragend gelegen.

Hervorragend gelegene, sehr geräumige und gut ausgestattete Wohnung innerhalb der Forte Stella mit herrlicher Aussichtsterrasse nach Westen/ Norden und zum Fähre-Hafen bzw. historischen Hafen. Ausstattung der Bäder wie auch der Küche etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Bei der Wohnung handelt es sich um ehemalige Lager- bzw. Kellerräume mit einem eindrucksvollen Tonnengewölbe, die mit viel Geschmack und architektonischem Geschick zu Wohnzwecken umgebaut wurde. Wohnung auch an heissen Tagen sehr kühl, aber auch etwas feucht.

Alles super, sauber, Betten bezogen bei Ankunft.Nur die Duschen sollten ersetzt werden. In der Küche sollten auch einige Dinge erneuert werden. Die Wohnung selber ist wirklich speziell.

"Il soggiorno nell''appartamento di forte stella è un esperienza indimenticabile e completamente positiva da ogni punti di vista: dalla disponibilità e cordialità dei proprietari dell''alloggio,alla collocazione in un contesto storico e naturalistico di rara bellezza. Le fotografie non rendono giustizia alla magia del luogo che seppur in città è completamente immerso nella tranquillità e nel silenzio. Ultimo ma non meno importante l''abitazione è molto curata nell''arredamento e nei servizi. Concludendo il giudizio è completamente positivo, sopratutto nel rapporto qualità-prezzo. "

"l''appartamento è inserito in un contesto storico unico e affascinante e dalle grandi terrazze all''esterno la vista è magnifica. con i permessi procurati dal proprietario, si accede facilmente anche con auto di grandi dimensioni. Unico punto debole l''umidità : probabilmente la casa andava aperta e arieggiata prima del soggiorno, ma sicuramente, in caso di caldo torrido, il fresco di questo appartamento sarà un vantaggio.
