"Where to even begin? We loved everything about our stay. Stefania was wonderful, and responsive to our many questions before we even arrived. Upon arrival, it felt like a dream. The Villa is beautiful, private, and expansive. The property is huge, with lots of olive trees, fig trees, and places for the kids to play and explore. And not to mention the stunning pool, which overlooks the most incredible views of Cortona. We were pleased to find a ping pong table, and just absolutely loved the pool...

"The host was very welcoming upon arrival and gave us a great tour of the property along with some area history. Such a peaceful setting. Really enjoyed the patio upstairs off the bedroom. "Just on the slope nestled between Cortona city and the Calcinaio church, the location was perfect for us. We enjoyed the serenity of no one immediately around us while only being a very short drive from the city walls. (Admittedly, we could have walked, but driving was easier!) Taking day trips to various Tuscan cities and sights was wonderfully served by the central location."

"This house is not a "normal" house but with a lot of different rooms. Filled with nice arts and decorated with some old furniture. Real characteristic Italian house. Nice garden with different places to seat. The only comment what I can give is the small kitchen. The garden and the swimming pool is maintained daily. We stayed here with 6 adults ad 4 children. We were in the main house (old hunting lodge) with 4-bedrooms, 3 baths, huge living space, kitchen, carport, and private pool. "Villa Messi is located in a lovely quiet village of Casalini. The property itself is quite large, furnished with nice art and artefacts, giving it an initially opulent feel. Outside, there is an open eating area, complete with inbuilt barbeque, wood-fired pizza oven, hob, sink and even a fridge. "The house and location are perfect for a family holiday, the pool is lovely and there are plenty of covered areas in the garden in which to relax when the sun gets too hot! The proprietors are very accommodating and fixed any issues (washing machine failed during our stay) immediately. The only thing to be aware of is that the region near the lake does suffer from mosquitoes which come out in the evening - so take repellent with you as it’s expensive in Italy!"
