Fantastic retreat in Prague. Located near the castle in a quiet spot. Room and hotel were clean and lovely. Staff was super attentive and kind. The breakfast was delicious. It was a special experience. Can’t wait to come back to the city and this wonderful hotel.

The restaurant is superb, and the breakfasts are very good as well. There is a wine and nibbles offering (*w/o charge) between 4-6 in the afternoon which is a very nice feature.

This place is truly a hidden gem. Located under the shadow of the Prague Palace, it is quiet, luxurious and within walking distance of the Old Town center. Historically, it was once a private residence. A fabulous breakfast was included each morning with a view of Prague that was breathtaking. Staff was very attentive and we enjoyed afternoon treats in the library room, and a little sweet as part of evening turn down service. It is a special place that I hope to return to one day. Thank you to Viktorie and all staff for making our stay memorable.

5 Stars – Exceptional Stay in a Storybook Setting From the moment we arrived, this classic castle-style hotel was more than we imagined. The architecture and ambiance made us feel like we had stepped back in time, while still enjoying every modern comfort. Its location is absolutely perfect- a short distance to the majestic Prague Castle, and within easy walking distance to the Charles Bridge, the Astronomical Clock, charming Old Town streets, and an endless selection of restaurants, cafés, and shops. Our room was beautiful, with elegant furnishings and thoughtful touches that made it feel both luxurious and welcoming. Waking up to views of the surrounding historic district was a highlight, and every detail reflected the charm and history of Prague. What truly set this stay apart was the staff. Every interaction—from check-in to departure—was met with genuine warmth, professionalism, and a sincere desire to make our visit unforgettable. The hotel is faultless. The staff, at check-in, room servicing and in the restaurant cannot do enough for you. The hotel itself is a little haven of quiet and luxury on the edge of the city. So well located with incredible views over the city. We stayed 4 nights and were so sad to leave

Fantastic boutique hotel

We have traveled all over the world many times at five stars hotels and experinced all from bad to excellent provided by such hotels. The golden well hotel is fantastic boutique hotel with extraordinary gourmet restaurant and are definitely in the excellent group of hotels. Besides providing all what you expects from such a Hotel it has the atmosfear of the danish "hygge" to its full extend. We will sure visit this hotel again.

Superb Service

The concierge, David, was superb. He addressed and solved our problem that was beyond his call of duty. We are definitely returning to this hotel this summer. He has given us confidence that we can stay comfortably at Golden Well hotel.

Great location. Great service. Love the welcoming wine and fruits. Daily replenish of fruits and desserts. Having heated floors in the bathroom was nice. My favorite was the breakfast in the terrace restaurant. Food is amazing and the view is so beautiful. We will definitely come back to the Golden Well Hotel again. Thank you for your hospitality

I have rarely written reviews... My husband and I wanted to stay at this hotel the following weekend. We saw haw charming it looked and thought it would be perfect....A well earned weekend get-away. It was late on Saturday night and I thought I should book a nice room for the following weekend before I go to bed. I did just that and accidentally put todays date and not for next weekend....My husband caught this in the morning. I immediately asked to change the date for the one we meant to book the following weekend. After a few days I was told that no change and no refund. I own a small business and I know that an honest mistake happens. WOW- I spent my vacation money for the weekend now... so Prague will have to wait. I'm disappointed that...Thats it. I don't want to hurt the business but I think possibly it may help the management realize that every customer matters.
