Gaetano & Antonella were amazing hosts. They helped guide us to the best spots in town on scooter and they were always available by phone! The room was vey clean and cozy, it really made us feel we were at a beach town! rooms are air conditioned as well! Colazione in the morning was good and just enough to get your day started! I would recommend anyone to come stay here. The experience and memories you will get by staying here will last you a lifetime as Gaetano and Antonella treat you as family! Thank you for the wonderful experience, we will for sure come again!

The owner is wonderful and very attentive, proud of his business. Although is a Bed & Breakfast, if they offer you to prepare dinner for you (not included in the nightly rate, but you will have to find a restaurant ayways), say YES. They will cook you a wonderful meal with local ingredients.

Abbiamo fatto una mini-vacanza di 3 giorni e proprio per questo cercavamo una struttura che fosse accessibile sia per la vita notturna che per quella diurna vicina al mare. È stato in soggiorno perfetto, abbiamo parcheggiato la macchina appena arrivate e repress al momento del ritorno. La struttura è centralissima e attraversando si arriva diretti sul lungomare. Il proprietario è di una gentilezza unica , colazione basic ma confortevole. Le camere non sono moderne ma hanno tutto il necessario. Ci torneremo presto.

The breakfast was lovely, Gaetano is a good host and very polite. Nice central location and also less than 5 mn walk to the beach The room was big and with a nice balcony The facilities are great. And near by there is a restaurant not expensive with the best pizzas in Italy. Gracie Mille Gaetano.

B&B comodo, pulito e dotato di tutti i confort. Posizionato in zona centrale, a due minuti a piedi dal lungo mare. Ma il valore aggiunto è la gentilezza e la disponibilità di Gaetano, il proprietario. Sicuramente ci ritorneremo. Consigliatissimo. Saveriuzza 😁

Freundliche Gastgeber; nur für Zwischenstop

Habe Zimmer für 70 € gebucht. Das Zimmer ist klein, heiss (unter dem Dach), ohne richtiges Fenster und hat kein eigenes Bad. Konnte in unteres Zimmer wechseln für 100 €. Dieses ist grösser, heller und hat ein eigenes Bad. Alles ist sauber die Besitzer sind sehr zuvorkommend und nett. Das Frühstück ist etwas mickrig; typisch italienisch. In der Umgebung gibt es nicht viel zu sehen. Der nahe Strand hat Kieselsteine und ist nicht schön.

Nice B&B in a beach town.

Good stop on the way to Sicily. Very nice beach town with lots of good food. Only downside was room on second floor. Staff helped with luggae so not a problem.

Fint B&B

Supertrevligt B&B med trevligt värdpar. Vi var bara i Praia a Mare två nätter. Första kvällen visade värden, som kan hyggligt bra engelska, oss till en trevlig kvällsöppen pizzeria. Dagen därpå tog han med oss ut i sin båt till Dinos Island, mot en lagom kostnad. Väl värt ett besök. Jag skulle rekommendera att ni ringer honom i förväg och bokar en båttur. Vi var i Praia i mitten av september och vädret var fortfarande riktigt härligt, runt 30 grader varmt. En av tjejerna i sällskapet har nu planerat in nästa resa till samma B&B och då tar hon med man och barn i stället.

Wonderful experience

I stayed here while on vacation with my two children. The B&B is very charming and we loved our room. However, the best part was the people at Al Vecchio Pioppo. They went above and beyond the level of service I expected. I highly recommend you stay at Al Vecchio Pioppo on your next visit to Italy.
