"Corinne and her family made sure we had everything we needed. The gite was prepared well. They even made sure we had essentials for our stay. With the secure garden we had no worries about our pet and there was games and a trampoline for our daughter. Corinne went beyond our expectations by inviting our daughter to meet and help with the horses/donkeys. She hasnt stopped talking about it. We borrowed bikes and visited the local area. "This appears to be a re-badged Campanile hotel which has just had Campanile signs changed to Design Inn. As such it provides good basic, no frills accommodation. The one difference with Campanile is that this hotel does not provide dinner but is very close to a Buffalo Grill which is conveniently located for dinner. There were various places where old Campanile signs had been removed but not well repaired so it gives the impression of not being well cared for. The staff were very helpful and found a secure place to store my bicycle. The breakfast was fine without being exceptional."

"Friendly staff & more efficient air conditioning than we have found in multiple hotels in France this year was very welcome. As was the free welcome cocktail which came with the carpeted room. Less good, though, was the way the television turned itself on every time we came back into the room & put the key into the slot adjacent to the door, that our queen-size double bed was a bit saggy in the middle, the shower was another one of the doorless types, which meant that splash into the rest of the bathroom & beyond was inevitable & the street light immediately outside our window did not have a shade on it. This meant that, even though blackout curtains were in place, some light still showed around them, which was unfortunate. Also, the windows were only double-glazed (not triple or more), which meant that the sound of the radios from the parked cars below our window was unpleasantly audible in our room. Thank you."

"Stayed here whilst visiting a chateau in the area. Lovely peaceful surroundings, giant chess in the vast gardens and a tree swing. Added bonus for us was the free electric charge points. You had to get a code from reception and they were only slow chargers but that was ideal for us as we plugged in overnight. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Quiet clean room overlooking the gardens. Perfect venue for a bigger gathering too."

"Excellent Hotel, with very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel itself has a quirky layout , as it’s in a very large old mansion house, all of which adds to its charm! The hotel is well kept and is a very clean , well run and well maintained and is within easy walking distance of the town centre and the river. (5-10 mins) . There are a lot of bars and restaurants with variable opening times! There’s parking available in front of the hotel, which is private and convenient. There’s also an excellent restaurant. The room we had was excellent. The bed was very comfortable and the room size was very good, we were also fortunate enough to have a small terrace outside of our balcony doors. The shower was big and the amenities were great. There’s also a fridge in the room as well as tea and coffee making facilities. The breakfast offered was relatively limited but was fresh and tasty. We would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again."

"The standard room was slightly cramped and looked and felt a bit tatty décor wise with cheap furniture. You had to ring a phone a phone on the reception desk to gt a reception to come over from the adjoining hotel. Makes you feel inferior to those staying in the adjoining hotel. There only appeared to be one member of staff in the breakfast area which meant tables were often waiting to be cleared and relaid for other guests"
