Although the hotel grounds are spectacular and the hotel itself looks great from the outside, the interior of the hotel is a little dingy and tired and in need of updating. My room was quite small and cramped and the bed wasn’t that comfortable. My room was probably the worst room in the house, because the window overlooked nothing but a wall and a flat roof at the rear of the property, where the furnace or something was located. It was running most of the time and I found the low frequency noise irritating, especially since it kept making my eardrum vibrate, which was uncomfortable. I didn’t use the bar or restaurant during my two night stay, so I can’t comment on that.

Our stay wasn't absolutely fabulous, but overall it was acceptable. The bedroom was somewhat gloomy, possibly it didn't help because the weather was dark and dreary. The food was very good, served by someone who, what we thought, was having a bad day, smiles were in short supply!

This was our second stay at Ferraris. This family run business, is like a very nice home from home. The family were lovely, helpful and friendly. The atmosphere, just wraps itself around you, making you feel comfortable and relaxed. Highly recommend staying here.

This place is amazing. My wife and I stayed a night here because we were exploring nearby sites associated with my ancestors. It was the off season (early November), so there were only a few other people there. It felt like we had an enormous estate practically to ourselves. The room was very spacious and very nice--far better than I was expecting given the affordable price. The grounds were very beautiful and the views from the room were amazing. (It seems the main purpose for this place is weddings and large events.) Parking was super simple and breakfast (included) was excellent. We ate dinner there also, which was affordable and excellent. The only real drawback of this place is that it is remote, though that's also what makes it great.

Really enjoyable stay

Really nice hotel, furnished more like a family home than a hotel, which was really nice. Room was a good size, and plenty of storage room. Ample parking, friendly staff and as it was withdrawn from the road it was nice and quiet. Thoroughly recommended.
