Trail Lake Lodge

Trail Lake Lodge

8/10 Good
"The hotel is very Alaskan and cozy and the owner really went above and beyond to make our stay as pleasant as possible. He was able to make accommodations that wouldn't have been possible during the busy/tourist season. But, since it was October, the place was not very busy. The room we stayed in had three beds but the bed in the sofa was pretty beat up 😅 it worked well enough to sleep one adult on it all night but it wasn't the coziest of sleeps. The queen bed was by far the comfiest but the twin was good enough. The room was pretty small but would have felt larger with less beds of course. We had 4 people sleeping in the room so the extra beds were very necessary. We were bummed about the restaurant not opening up early enough for breakfast until we discovered that the store across the road (Estes Brother's Grocery) had some great coffee and breakfast options. Overall, I would be willing to stay there again and we enjoyed our stay. My 6 year old especially loved it. Aside from the fact that the television has no internet capabilities for some reason."
