"Huge rooms! Character! And a cat! After staying at some bigger chain hotels, I thought it was time for something different - this inn is historic, has a great location right next to the library and around the corner from Perly's Delicatessen, and Annabelle is a friendly cat that even this dog lover could appreciate. There are some tradeoffs like older locks/keys and thinner walls, but to me this was a memorable stay and I even got an Edgar Allan Poe tote bag. Will definitely return when it's a bit cooler out and I can manage walking a bit further - check it out!"

"Note that this is not a typical big hotel chain experience. This hotel is more of a quaint, boutique style hotel. As such there are minimal amenities. That being said, the hotel is very comfortable, the rooms are modern and clean, the staff is super friendly and helpful, and the Parlor Bistro has really good food. One thing to note, is that I booked a King Suite with a pullout sofa bed on Expedia. That room type does not exist. When I got to the hotel they had a reservation for a single king size bed for the four of us. Fortunately the staff was able to shuffle some things around and put us into a room with two queen beds (and a balcony!). We're very grateful they were able to accommodate us despite Expedia's mix-up."
