"The beautiful moorland of the National park surround this wonderful hotel. The staff were very welcoming and every staff member made the stay very personal. It is an amazing property with great facilities and surroundings. The bed was very comfortable. The room was as expected, clean and nicely decorated. "

"The hotel is an older structure and has been modernised throughout to a very high standard with evidence of new work present around the lifts and some common areas; the rooms are probably getting ready for a refresh as whilst it was really clean there are chips out of the bath and the shower/taps could do with being renewed. The staff welcoming us at check-in were friendly and top class; that said the bar staff and breakfast staff were all really, really excellent in every way and they make the hotel absolutely perfect. The beds were comfy, the family room nice and quiet too, the breakfast was great and everything perfect which is why I love a Crowne Plaza "

"This lovely old hotel is perennially reliable and perfect for walks to the Barbican, the city centre and the Ferry terminal. No need to book a taxi and they are willing to hold one's luggage for the return. The receptionists are wonderful and the bar/lounge very cosy. "
