    Hanalei Bay Resort overlooks Hanalei Bay from a tropical, lush 28 acres in Princeville. Beautiful ocean and Bali Hai views are everywhere on this property. Beach access is provided down a long, fair grade, paved path, and the resort staff offer convenient golf cart rides to the beach below. With four new artificial turf and two new hard courts as well as 6 new pickleball courts added to this world ranked tennis resort, everyone is sure to find their groove. Onsite restaurant, pizza oven, and coffee shop, concierge and fitness center, there is little need to ever leave!

    Privately located at the end of the resort, this connecting, lock off, studio will be your great escape! Island views will be yours to enjoy right from the lanai making for wonderful outdoor living. This spacious studio will accommodate with a king bed, a small kitchenette with a mini fridge, blender, coffee maker, dishes and flatware. If you want to cookout, the onsite BBQ's are only a few steps away by the round pool. This studio can be rented with the adjoining one bedroom unit to accommodate 4 additional guests. The onsite amenities will keep you busy with 2 swimming pools, a hot tub, tennis, a fitness center, a fire pit arena and the bar/lounge with live music to set the mood. This unit is a decent walk from the parking area, adding to the tropical experience. The resort staff are happy to provide rides to and from your car.

Had a great time! Resort was very clean and had great amenities including two nice pools. It is very hilly but they offer golf cart pickups for getting around. Wifi and cell signal can be spotty at times. Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect location

This little place is in a perfectly location at the end of the building. The lanai has a great view where we enjoyed our coffee and breakfast.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Great view and property

The place was perfect for a week getaway. The view from the balcony was beautiful and the property had way more amenities than we expected. The room also came with beach chairs and snorkeling gear which was a plus.

Perfect Vacation Spot

My husband and I had a great time at the Hanalei Bay Resort! Perfectly located in Princeville, all of the sights and restaurants that we wanted to go to on the north shore were only a short drive away. We also watched the most amazing sunset while staying in this unit!

Would definitely recommend

Really enjoyed my stay here. The property is really beautiful. They have an amazing beach for snorkeling. The room feels slightly dated but the view from the balcony makes up for it. The location of the room is at the end of the property but we didn’t mind the walk and they also provided free pickup and drop off service.

Slice of paradise

This lock off unit is perfect for couples. Unit has a beautiful view of Hanalei bay. We spent many nights watching the sunset from the lanai. The property is beautiful and lush and perfectly located. We would definitely stay here again in the future!

Hanalei Bay Resort was lovely. The common areas are well-landscaped, and we enjoyed the two nice restaurants, pools, tennis courts, and private beach access. The staff was warm, and the golf cart service (available via text) to go from parking to the unit and the beach was helpful, though you should plan for a 10-minute wait for rides.The unit itself was a spacious, hotel-style studio with a functioning air conditioner and refrigerator. The view was amazing, though I’d note that some units further uphill offer even more expansive views (rightly priced higher).While the price was fair, we encountered several maintenance issues: the linens had a mild unpleasant odor, the electric kettle was broken, and the provided beach chairs were broken. Fortunately, the timeshare office near reception makes some chairs available for free, which saved our beach day. We reached out to the host about the kettle but never received a response.Note for future guests: There is a coffee maker but no grounds are provided, and there is no microwave in the unit.Overall, a decent stay for the price because of the resort's location and perks, but the unit cleanliness and host communication could be improved.

Good spot

Would 100% stay here again, only issue was the listing was a tad misleading as it indicated they’re was a kitchen but there was only a mini fridge. If you can get over that, fairly priced and awesome location.

Despite the annoying sounds the chickens constantly make at all hours of the day and night, and the 2 AM party next door, we loved it and would come again! The room and accommodations were perfect and as described. Thanks:)

HBR with great view

We've stayed at HBR several times. This unit is a quiet end unit with great views. Unfortunately, the unit is very small compared to other units and does not have a kitchenette

The property is beautiful. The sunsets were amazing. The location is a bit isolated. You have to drive to shops and stores. The room itself was very nice but the door to the lock off doesn’t keep noise out.

Beautiful Sunset Views at a Charming Resort

Views from the lanai of Hanalei Bay and Bali Hai are exceptional. The unit itself is a little outdated and could use a little love but it’s totally fine. The resort has a bit of an old-school field and I say that in the best way… We really like this place and would go back. The pool is exceptional

Great stay at HBR!

We had a wonderful stay at HBR. It was nice to have a mini fridge with a top freezer area and a blender in the condo. The unit itself was not very clean (many many dead bugs all over the windows and ground), and dirty dishes when we arrived, but otherwise nice stay with great amenities and responsive hosts.

Honeymoon

Great place to stay and the property had several amenities including a great pool area! The unit itself was far from the parking lot and very far from beach access, both paths were pretty steep. We found out after we took all our luggage to the unit and after we walked all the way down to the beach that you can call golf carts to drive you around the property. Once we figured that out it was smooth sailing.

The grounds of the Hanalei Bay resort were beautiful. The views were great as well as the pool, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The check in fees were steep and the unit itself was extremely dated. In need fo renovations and new furniture especially for the nightly price. The pictures are misleading. Also the unit was not entirely clean and the headboard had a smell that resembled the smell of urine. Would not book again

We were pleasantly surprised by how quiet and peaceful the property felt throughout our stay. The landscaping is stunning and lush with both cozy nooks for small gatherings and open lawns with games and lounge chairs. The on-site restaurants were a convenient bonus: a bit pricey and the food was just okay, but the views and atmosphere were incredible.The unit itself felt more like a spacious hotel room than a full condo, with limited kitchen amenities, but it was clean and comfortable. The king bed was comfortable, and we appreciated the mini fridge, coffee maker, and blender. Beach supplies were provided in the closet (cooler and lawn chairs). The balcony offered a beautiful spot to relax with a drink and take in the sunsets and sunrises.Everyone we encountered, both guests and staff, was friendly and welcoming.We also loved the private beach and pool area. The snorkeling was surprisingly good for how close it was to the unit, and the hot tub and pool were a perfect way to end the day.Overall, this resort is a gem. We’d absolutely love to stay here again for the beautiful views, relaxing atmosphere, and wonderful amenities.

Nice quiet unit, good for a couple.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, the room was about the same quality as you'd find at a Hampton Inn on the mainland. A little dated, but fine for a couple staying for less than a week. There is a mini-fridge, blender, coffee maker and some cutlery and plates. Doing dishes in the bathroom sink wasn't ideal, but we made it work. The room was not that clean at check-in as there was still a lot of standing dust on surfaces. Also, the television turned on but nothing would broadcast on it either via cable TV or my own device. The view from the lanai was great and this part of the property was very quiet. The unit is at the bottom of a large hill but HBR provides free golf cart service you can call or text 24 hrs a day. Be sure to tip! We also liked the pool area and the small beach at the bottom of the hill. We liked HBR a lot and would visit the property again, but perhaps stay at a unit with more amenities like a full kitchenette.

There was NO kitchen. Even using the term kitchenette was BS

There were five other people staying at Hanalei Bay Resorts who also got screwed by the lock out units. Vacation Realty of Hawaii (Stephanie in that office) confirmed that morning of our check in that there was a full kitchen and laundry in the unit. We purchased $200 in groceries. There wasn't anything to cook with at the grills downstairs and a tiny fridge was all we had. The coffee maker was missing a top so that didn't work. And using a bathroom sink as the only sink...The AC didn't work and the nasty manager at Vacation Realty Hawaii was so unpleasant that we chose to not have anymore interaction with that company. This all reflects poorly on VRBO. I will never book anything through VRBO in the future.

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location of this room was beautiful and had a great view. However, the room itself was very disappointing. It is very old and dated. The ceiling is crumbling in places with mold in the bathroom, mold on the shower curtain, mounds of sand in the corners, and a very musty smell. It could definitely use a lot of work! And it wouldn’t take a lot to make this property much nicer and more appealing. It feels as though zero effort was put in to making this stay welcoming. The amenities at the resort could also use a lot of updating. Check in at the front desk took forever and the line was so long at other times we just never bothered to ask for anything. Bring your own beach towels! They do offer them, but you have to stand in line forever to get them and then you have to physically hand them your old ones in order to get a new one, again, standing in line.

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The resort itself was a great spot, amazing pool, tennis court and a golf cart shuttle to the beach. I would come back but definitely would not stay at this condo. We were not pleased with the condo. The vent in the bathroom had so much build up dust, it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for years. The condo had a connecting door to a different condo that we were unaware about, which was fine but the door had a huge gap at the bottom. When I say huge, I mean I was able to put my hand underneath and grab our neighbors belongings. We could hear everything that our neighbor was doing as if they were standing right next to us and so we never wanted to be in room or make any noice. I told Kristin (host) about this and her solution was to put a towel underneath the door. Not even a little compensation. We were not happy especially since this was our 1st time in Kauai.
