I cannot express how much we enjoyed this unit. It is in an ideal location with fabulous views. The beach and pool were wonderful. It was a wonderful 70 birthday celebration for me and my family. I cannot wait to return!

Perfect North Shore location

We rented the whole unit which was perfect for our family (3 kids, 5 adults). The amenities are excellent. Great pool!! The lanai is amazing with a fabulous view of Hanalei Bay. We will definitely stay here again when back on the North shore. Highly recommended!!!

Comfortable condo with beautiful views

Thank you for allowing our family to stay at the spacious and comfortable upper floor condo unit. It had all the supplies and equipment we needed. We walked down to the beach daily and enjoyed the sweeping views of Hanalei Bay.

Best view

We took all 3 units together for a week long family trip. This is a beautiful property with one of the best views oh Hanalei Bay and the mountains you'll ever have. The unit is we'll equipped with everything you need to enjoy an incomparable vacation on the best location in all of the Hawaiian Islands.

Great unit with amazing view!

We rented 4302 & 4303 & couldn't have been happier. The unit was well equipped with an updated kitchen & spacious couch to accommodate our whole family. The best part of the unit had to be the amazing view of Hanalei Bay off the lanai. Was the perfect spot for morning coffee or an evening cocktail. We would definitely recommend this unit & this resort. Great little beach just a 5 minute walk down the beach path too!

Amazing

This was the perfect place for our family of 10. The condo was amazing, really clean and very comfortable. The views were out of this world, we woke up to rainbows every morning on the lani. Janice had an amazing welcome basket with fruit, coffee and chocolate, it was super sweet! The resort was great, with an amazing pool and sand bottom hot tub with water falls! There are places to sit and relax throughout the resort. The staff was amazing, I really couldn't ask for more! The resort has everything you can ask for, I really didn't want to leave the resort at all. I would definitely come back and stay in this condo! Thank you Janice for opening you wonderful peace of paradise to us!!!

Amazing View from Amazing Condo

We recently stayed in this three room condo unit (430123) and it was extremely comfortable, well stocked, and had the most amazing view of Hanalei Bay and the Napali mountains. The unit was very tastefully decorated and all the furniture and beds were very comfortable. Each unit had their own spectacular view so everyone could wake up at their own pace and enjoy the view without disturbing anyone else. The condo was well stocked in the kitchen, as well as having beach chairs, umbrellas, tennis rackets, coolers, snorkel equipment (no fins however, so bring your own), etc. The unit location was just perfect and had one of the, if not the, best views of any of condo in the complex. The complex had a great pool, swim up bar, hot tub, tennis courts everywhere, and a restaurant. The golf cart shuttle service to and from parking lot/beach/front desk was ideal for the older people in our party. This really is prime real estate with an amazing view that you will never tire of. Next time we're in Kauai, we'll be coming back. Excellent place to vacation.

Paradise

Our group of 12 including 6 teenagers and 6 adults had an amazing stay at this lovely condo resort. The ocean views were breathtaking and we loved sitting on the lovely patio drinking our coffee and watching the birds. Considering how large the property is, it was very quiet and peaceful, but the bar was always hopping if you wanted a little music and food. I loved the proximity to the beach and the Princeville hotel. The condo is very well equipped with everything you need to enjoy the beach, guide books, games and cooking essentials. Janice is super helpful and responsive. I would love to stay here again. My only suggestions would be to get rid of the louvered door to the master in 4302. Privacy was an issue and you could hear everything going on in the kitchen and living room which made it difficult to sleep with night-owls and early risers. The pool is very nice to hang out by but it was very cold which was a bummer. But all minor issues considering what an amazing property this is.

Perfect Family Units

I recently used the entire Top Floor Unit 430123 for my family of 9 people including my husband and myself and my 2 daughters, their husbands and their 3 children to celebrate my "big" birthday. It was a delightful place to stay with fabulous views overlooking Hanalei Bay. The decor was lovely and the kitchen was amazingly outfitted with everything one could want. Janice was very responsive to any of my questions and needs. This was the first time I had ever used Home Away or VRBO. I was used to booking hotel rooms, but with so many people the price of the rooms I would have needed became prohibitive and the extra space afforded us with this rental was the perfect solution. The only drawback was that two of my young grandchildren slept in the loft and the adults felt as though they had to be very quiet in the living room after those kids went to bed. This situation could have been alleviated had my daughter and son-in-law slept in the loft giving up the bedroom to their children but they chose not to do that. At any rate, we still enjoyed the unit so much and would return in a heartbeat should our future plans take in Kauai. Hanalei Bay Resort is in a picture perfect location. I could go on and on but I'd just be repeating previous reviews. You can't go wrong with this condo!

Too stressful of a process - Rent directly through Hanalei Bay Resorts instead

We were very excited to stay at this VRBO. The pictures made the views look breathtaking and the booking process went well. Unfortunately, once we got to Hawaii everything went downhill. It started with the expectations associated with check-in and went on from there: 1. They sent me a text 2 days prior to arrival asking when I would arrive in Kauai. I mentioned that we would land at 9:30 and planned to drive directly to the resort to check-in. They thanked me for the info so we were surprised that when we arrived, we were told check in was at 3pm. Parrish mentioned the room being cleaned at 11am but we wouldn't be able to check in prior to 3pm. I have no idea why they asked when I would arrive if they were not going to adjust the check-in time. This caused us to waste our 1st day in Kauai 2. When we checked in at 3pm, we got an email that the air conditioning was broken, and a technician would be back to fix the issue at the end of our stay. They did add a noisy temp unit. 3. After check- in we also realized there was no parking near the condo and we needed to walk ~0.3-0.5 miles (based in the parking spot you can find) to the condo with our baggage and each time we wanted to use our car. There is a porter service on golf carts that can be requested, you just need to wait. I didn't see this long walk mentioned in the description. 4. The noisy temp unit stopped working Wednesday night. Parrish mentioned the air conditioning tech would be on site in 2 days and we would have to wait. So, I needed to watch you tube videos to figure out how to get the air conditioning unit running. 5. other small issues- they mentioned offering beach towels but they are the resort pool towels. Also, there is no snorkeling gear which was included in other VRBOs that we stayed in, I did mention the concerns above, but the Parrish reps would just argue that it wasn't their issue and I just needed to deal with inconveniences. They offered no solutions and had no compassion. The experience left me frustrated which wasn't the plan for a vacation to Kauai.

The best condo at HBR, in our opinion

We have rented other units at Hanalei Bay Resort and this unit has been our favorite by far. At HBR, you can rent a resort-owned unit or a privately-owned unit, like this one. Stick with a privately-owned unit. The resort-owed units are very dated overall. You need only stand on the balcony and it’s easy to spot the resorted-owned units: they have the tired and uncomfortable looking patio furniture. On our many stays at HBR, we’ve poked our head into other units, always thinking about next year. We’ve even asked management and the bellmen which units are the best. They universally said that this condo is one of the best. My husband and I and our two daughters (ages 11 and 13) and my mom rented two of the three adjoining units for ten nights. This is the perfect setup if you are traveling with grandparents or another couple. Why we love this unit: *Top floor, thus you get the high ceilings, which makes it feel so open and large. *The loft has two queen beds, which most of the loft units at HBR don't have. The two queens gives you more flexibility with sleeping arrangements. If your kids bring friends - it's perfect. *Beautifully decorated. This unit has been totally updated and the owner Janice has great taste. So smart of her to put a giant mirror along one of the living room walls - makes the room feel huge, and you get that incredible ocean view from anywhere you stand in the living room/dining area and kitchen. *View - Being on the third floor, you get an amazing view of Hanalei Bay. My favorite part of our stay: coffee on the balcony watching the sun come up. *Unit is fully stocked. We love to cook and cook most of our meals when in Kauai. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could need. Most nights we would grill fish on the resort BBQ's, located about a 1-2 minute walk from the unit. The unit has beach towels, beach accessories (chairs, umbrellas, snorkels, fins, boogie boards, cooler, rolling cart to haul supplies down to beach, etc.) * The owner Janice was awesome. We had questions for her a couple times and she got back to us immediately and went out of her way to make sure our stay was enjoyable. *For anyone traveling with a senior: this third floor unit is very senior-friendly. Even though it's on the top floor and there is no elevator, the stairs are shallow and there are only three short flights. The bellmen take all of your luggage up and down upon check-in and check-out.

Spectacular Views

We stayed at the resort with another family and the condo housed all 11 of us comfortably. The resort grounds were clean and had lots of areas with wonderful views of the ocean and mountains. Easy access to the main road to get to the cutest town of Hanalei and down the coast to other areas. Communication with the management team was great and quick responses. Would definitely recommend staying here!

I can't imagine a better property

This place was awesome. The location is fantastic, with an easy walk to a sandy beach - and an easy drive to Hanalei. Plus, the units had a great view of the bay and birds love to eat right out of your hand.

Hanalei Bay staff needs counseling on how to treat gas properly

The accommodation was lovely except it was on the third floor and my husband is handicapped. I was terribly disappointed that I was not told it was on the third floor although the accommodation was lovely and clean, we will not be staying there again.

Hanalei Paradise

The property is perfectly situated, views of Hanalei Bay and the mountains from the balcony are unparalleled. Sunset from the lawn next to the condo were magnificent from the Adirondack chairs. The condo itself was nice, the kitchen is small but well equipped, bedrooms and beds very comfortable as was the couch. Tables on the balcony are tall so you look over the railings at the gorgeous view. Overall highly recommended.

Beautiful view and gorgeous property

Loved that there were 2 lock offs, so we could stay with a big group. View was unbelievably beautiful. Property was beautiful, but we did not have AC in one room. We were told in advance, but assured we would have window units and fans. Property manager tried to fix it and was very responsive when we managed to reach her. (Recommend calling in order to reach the property manager.) She very quickly replaced a broken coffee maker and left us update notes every time she was on property to address our needs. I would still recommend this property since we do understand that certain items are probably difficult to obtain quickly on an island.

Great location

Excellent location in Princeville. Beautiful sunsets from terrace and pool. Great drinks at Tiki bar. Highly recommend for family vacations especially with adult children. Three adjoining units made for spacious accommodations. Tennis on property and golf nearby (can walk if not carrying clubs).

Paradise found!

This property at Hanalei Bay Resort is spectacular! It has an incredible view, has an outstanding location inside the actual resort, besides access to the beach and the quiet area of Princeville on the island. All of the ammenities were wonderful and the rooms were so clean, large, and beautiful for our family of ten which included adults and children. It was a dream vacation.

As beautiful as pictured!

Very beautiful property. The view is amazing!!!! Just as described. Unit has a ton of towels and lots of toiletries, lots of beach toys, etc. Comfy beds. Beautiful unit/resort. Shout out to the front desk manager (she may be from Brazil) so kind and extremely helpful.

Great place for a family reunion.

Thank you. The unit worked great for my mother’s 80th birthday where we celebrated with her children and grandchildren. The only negative was the check-in process. I will chalk it up to a single individual, but there was a lot of highlighting of restrictions and penalties. They are somewhat typical, but this individual made it less comfortable than it should have been.
