    Sitting at the end of Pua'ana Point, high atop a bluff where picturesque Hanalei Bay meets the Pacific, this Princeville oceanfront condo is perfectly located to provide spectacular views in every direction...a panoramic sweep of Hanalei Bay, Lumahai Beach and the immortal mountains of Bali Hai.To the east, a long sculptured coastline bordered by lush jagged cliffs. And just below in a lava walled cove, a family of sea turtles make their home. The golden sands and underwater reef paradise of Hideaway Beach is a short stroll down a flower lined path.

    This second floor end unit with cathedral ceilings offers the foremost in style and elegance.... custom designed furniture and tropical art. There is an extra room which is a loft style open bedroom. Begin your day at Puaana Point with a sweeping sunrise or enjoy an intimate Bali Hai sunset on your own private lanai.

    Activities nearby: The Pali Ke Kua grounds are professionally landscaped and include a fine restaurant. Just a few minutes walk takes you to the elegant Princeville Resort, which offers gourmet dining, world-class golf, fitness center, horseback riding, tennis and a long, crescent shaped beach. Just beyond Hanalei Bay, you can hike, kayak or sail the famed "Na Pali Coast" for the adventure of your life.

    Please note the owners have the windows and jalousie in the master bedroom permanently closed to help prevent further salt air and water damage, as the condo is located right on the ocean. The sliding glass doors and other windows in the condo can be opened to let in the tropical breeze and provide airflow throughout the living areas.

The unit is smack on view-wise - just note the unit is fairly worn. Everything worked but for the price point needed some updates and renovation.

Love this pace. Views,size and value. Only thing would love a split ac in the bedroom the sun can beam really strong but other than that having windows open breeze was great!

honestly have never stayed anywhere that had that kind of view from each room. very clean, very comfortable and well stocked. breakfast on the patio was dreamy. location could not have been more convenient. you can see queens bath and our right down the street from hanalei.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is perhaps the best location and view in Kauai. The unit has a good floor plan and enough space for 3-4 people. As many reviews mention, the carpet and linoleum are stained and torn and need updating. Other than that, it is a wonderful place. If you keep curtains closed when windows are exposed by the sun, you can easily manage the temperature inside. Wonderful property management company as well!

Family of four

The unit has breathtaking ocean views and garden views. We were treated with beautiful sunrise from the bedroom and sunsets in the lanai.The other reviewers mention about the unit being too hot in the afternoon but we did not really mind. It’s breezy mostly in the late afternoon and there’s rain showers on and off. We had a lovely time and will be back if given a chance.

Would be nice if we did not have to pick up and drop off the keys at KVR in Lihue; perhaps replace with an electronic key pad or lock box with a code? Also furniture are a bit dated and tv instructions not clear.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First, thank you for checking to see if my necklace fell on the carpet. We found it in our luggage. We found the view spectacular however, the unit is very much in need of a complete overall. The main bedroom has no ventilation so could use an air condition split that doesn't blow on you. Bathrooms so in need of a complete update, I won't go into details. Could be a little cleaner. Again the whole unit needs to be gutted and updated. With that said, it's Kauai. We didn't focus on the condo but rather our surroundings and overall stay. Answer below are very hard to answer and might be inaccurate.

Good Northshore Location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We liked the Princeville location as we were able to get out and explore the northshore places and beaches easily. The views were great as the unit is out on top of a cliff. We felt secure even though the winds were really blowing outside. The unit has no AC and a lot of the windows ventilation were closed off via boarding that prevented the best air circulation. The bed has firm foam mattress which was ok for me but harder than other beds in the condos. The theme was distinctly oriental with beautiful white sofa and white carpeting. There are beach chairs and equipment accessories that augmented the beach experiences. The management team was really nice and caring, calling to see how we liked the place the day we arrived. I wish there was the electronic locks like some other condos have such as the hospitality app with key information and the door codes etc. The wifi is individual so I felt that was secure (we use security software suite as well). The walkway to the unit is a challenge for the acrophobe as it looks like you are going to walk off the cliff as the turn to go over the units catwalk appears to go into space. We have been to this unit before and love the view from the lanai.

Beautiful view, should easily be a 5-star rating!

This unit has an absolutely amazing view facing west from the lanai. Both north and east facing windows from the bedroom (this is an end unit in the building) have views that will take your breath away. Just stunning!! This property could and should be a 5-star rating. Unfortunately I feel I’m being generous by giving an overall 3-star rating (We’d never stay there again)because of an almost inexplicably unfortunate decision by the owner to seal both bedroom windows and the louvered slats underneath the east facing window. The result is stifling heat during the day and a complete lack of fresh air into the bedroom. Instead of sleeping with a cool breeze and the sound of the surf dashing at the base of the cliff, you will instead be forced to listen to the sound of a “vornado” fan, the ceiling fan and a box fan that must be run all night to try and keep the stuffy air moving enough to sleep. With the beautiful west facing windows the unit becomes quite warm, at least in June. We were so disappointed by this decision to seal all access to fresh air we would never stay in this unit again. I can only guess they are concerned with rain blowing in and getting the carpeted bedroom floor wet. The obvious and easy fix is to replace the old worn out carpeting with tile! This is a prime end unit and, by the way, we’ve stayed in the unit directly next to this one. In that unit (224) the single east facing bedroom window allows air to flow in through louvered slats providing a wonderful breeze through the bedroom at night. The decision to seal the bedroom windows is a huge mistake (presumably to preserve the aged carpeting from getting wet). It all seemed so wrong I could only laugh as I fell asleep each night to the roar of the “vornado” fan. I could even overlook the 1980’s kitchen cabinets and stove and the carpeting throughout the rest of the unit badly in need of replacing (suggestion- use TILE!!). Not much else to say other than hopefully this neglected prime end unit will come up for sale so a new owner might give it the tiny bit of updating needed to become a top tier rental.

This unit is really in an ideal location with views from both sides and we loved that the bedroom is ocean facing. Unfortunately, the unit is so dated that we would not rent this again unless a major renovation is done. It's to bad because this could be fantastic property and we would gladly pay more for some updates.

I’d like to give it 5 stars, but the carpet needs to go. Just put in some tile. Why they would have carpet through out in any house, let alone a beach house, is very odd. Carpet is white to boot and the stains really show. Also feels bad walking around on it ...clammy kinda feel. Could use some cosmetic work on the inside. But for the price, location and views, I can look past that. At the very least get rid of the carpet . The 1970’s (80’s) are gone . Also for health and air quality. Otherwise .....staff was very efficient and the entire process pleasant. I’d definitely come back.

Great Unit in a Fabulous Location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our second 2-week stay in this rental unit and it was perfect for us. The views can't be beat and the location and orientation made it very private. We loved watching the Nene outside our unit and we could even see whales out to sea. The bed was super comfy. We usually ate "at home" and the unit has everything you could possibly need in terms of cooking utensils. When we did feel like eating out it was great to have a good pizza place right on the property. There were 4 beach chairs and, a 4 beach towels. Unfortunately the beach umbrella was broken. It was probably still usable but we didn't need it since we always went to a beach with lots of shade. There was plenty of toilet paper and kleenex as well as extra sets of sheets and towels. Since there were only two of us we didn't use the upstairs loft but it was nice to have a second bathroom upstairs so we could both shower at the same time. The one issue we had was with geckos. We didn't see any inside but they were definitely there as we found lots of their droppings. But this is Hawaii and geckos are better than bugs. Check-in and check-out were simple. Would definitely stay here again.

Great view with issues

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Pali Ke Kua 226 has some of the most awesome views but the condo is in need of maintenance. The window screens had large gaps and blew out occasionally. This resulted in lots insects getting in and biting us all night. We slept with fans on and sheets over us but we still woke up with nasty bites each morning with lots of dead bugs all over. The sectional is old with lots of sags and odors. The carpet at one time was white but is dirty and stained. The area rug on top is a remnant that is also white and stained . We stayed here several years in a row but the condition of the condo was intolerable to the point it’s not worth having the great view.

Perfect Vacation with the best view and condo in Princeville.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Arrived At 4 pm to a clean welcoming condo with a wrap around view. The gardens were immaculate and in full vibrant bloom. At 5:30 pm we were gifted the most spectacular sunset I have ever witnessed and will remember it always.

Postcard Views !

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: There is SO Much to love about Pali Ke Kua 226 !! Views here are Spectacular ! It’s like staring at a postcard out of every window! We had a couple of small disappointments that I will mention & then back to the good stuff... Seems the shower head is likely the original. Hopeful they would replace with a removable one since this is such a very low budget item — would be most helpful & appreciated. The “bathtub” is simply the large shower floor with tile built up around it.The other thing is the television is pretty dated and so we were unable to connect to any of our devices for program streaming. Would like to request that the owner consider a “budget friendly” Smart TV. We Did appreciate having cable available for us though.The kitchen was well stocked with newer dishes including pots & skillets. This was great as we’ve stayed at other very nice locations that had really old pots & pans (everything sticks to them!)There is a nice large dresser with lots of drawers for clothes as well as large bathrooms and a closet with shelves for other items. The king size bed was nice & comfortable.And it was a nice surprise to find the very large sofa with new upholstery! We both were able to stretch out & lay back on this very comfortable sofa with lots of pillows! Loved that !Also want to say that Kauai Vacation Rentals is a very professional, friendly & accommodating company to work with and we were pleased & impressed.Again, Pali Ke Kua 226 has stunningly beautiful views & it makes it hard to leave. Day & evening on that lanai staring at Bali Hai was truly Paradise and we cannot wait to return ! Thank you for such an amazing vacation!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The views from the condo cannot be beaten. Gorgeous views from every room. Our favorite part was waking up early to enjoy the deck with our coffee in the morning and watching the sunset in the evening. The condo itself is extremely dated and needs attention as things are starting to fall apart. Be aware that there is no A/C, and you cannot open most of the windows. It baffles me, as the cross breeze would cool the place down. The beds are comfortable. The condo pool is great. In summary, once-in-a-lifetime views in a condo that needs a good amount of work.

So peaceful. So beautiful. Everywhere you look is beautiful ocean. I willBe back asap!
