One of my favorite places

Great home on the lake situated for entertaining, cooking and relaxing. Beautiful views from many of the rooms and wonderfully appointed and stocked home. Will definitely stay here again and would not hesitate recommending to anyone I know.

This property was the best ever. It came with all the supplies anyone could want, all being first rate, and upscale. Water toys were also provided for our enjoyment on the lake. Being basically in the State Park, we felt extremely close with nature and all the tranquility surrounding us. Our host was always available if we had any questions. Can't say enough good things about our stay. We hope to return again.

Great place for a family trip

We played at the lake all week. We paddle boarded, kayaked, fished, hiked, biked, walked, and played in the sand, such a great week. Jim was a very responsive host and did whatever he could to make our stay perfect.

Family gathering

This property was perfect for our family as we gathered to be near other family members in the community. From the fully stocked kitchen with an abundance of coffee makers, pots, pans, etc., to the paddleboard and kayaks and soft seating outside on the deck this place was perfect for us and we plan to come back! It is literally just outside the state park so you have quick access to great hiking trails, too.

Fantastic Location

Couldn't go to the mountains this year because of Helene. Had to pivot with another plan. Would a great find! This location would be a great vacation getaway anytime of the year. Will definitely be back for another vacation.

Family Wedding

Jim's place was exactly what was stated in the listing. The place was beautiful and spacious. There were a lot of extras that he had in the house that made our stay that much more enjoyable. Don’t Think Twice

If you’re wanting a spectacular view of the lake, that’s close to a boat ramp with all the amnesties and extras you could think of for a whole family with or without kids, or just two — Don’t Think Twice!!! And let’s not forget the most reliable host! This place is by far the best VRBO we’ve ever stayed at. If we ever come back to this area will definitely stay here again. Thanks Jim!!

Lake Paradise!

This home is absolutely amazing! We were in town for my daughter's graduation from University of SC and this home was perfect! The home is exactly as listed, and even better. The views are incredible, the rooms are spacious, and the kitchen is fully stocked with all of the essentials needed. The BBQ grill is one of the bests!! We will definitely be back.

2445 State Park Road Lake House

The house was right on the lake with a dock and a great wrap around porch for our group to enjoy the lake view. The house is well maintained and decorated. It has a large open living area and dining area. All the appliances were updated and in excellent working condition. Despite being a hot, summer weekend the A/C was terrific for keeping the house cooled. It was very quiet and enjoyable. I would stay there again and highly recommend it

A lake getaway for friends. Wonderful home clean and stocked with all you need just bring the fun. Little hiccup with main TV being out but we but we didn’t let it bother our time together. Beautiful view. We rented a boat which was easy. Can’t wait to return.

Fishing Tournament Week

Everything about this home was ideal. We had four college anglers staying with us and they found the location to be very convenient to the ramp at Dreher Island State Park. I enjoyed walking through the park each day. The park entrance is a short 3 minute walk from the house. The kitchen was well stocked, and there was plenty of space for everyone to spread out.The view of the lake is spectacular. We will definitely plan to stay here the next time we have a fishing tournament on Lake Murray.

Peaceful Retreat

Another perfect stay at this beautiful and peaceful retreat! The home has a perfect layout, great for entertaining a family/ friends, but also privacy for guests in many sitting areas both inside and out. The view of the lake and dock access is unparalleled and we enjoy all the nature surrounding this lovely property. Beds super comfortable, kitchen amazing, bright home , all on one level easy for everyone. Think you again! The host always goes out of their way to accommodate and be super responsive. Lovely autumn weekend on the lake

My two teenagers and I stayed at the lake over the long Thanksgiving weekend. The property is beautiful and lovingly furnished and maintained. It was a fantastic escape and quiet on the lake, while still being convenient to the grocery stores in Chapin and a short drive to Columbia. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and dock, making S’mores in the fire pit, and watching college football in the living room. As a mom who has had to cook for the family in many rentals, I have to call out how well-stocked this kitchen is! It has everything you need in terms of cookware, condiments, etc. Gas range, convection oven, and I think there were three different ways to make coffee. I miss waking up to the lake view already. We hope to return in the summer so we can also enjoy the water!
