This was such a lovely little place in Riomaggiore! The accommodations were comfortable and Andrea went out of his way to welcome us and even carried our luggage up all the stairs for us! This whole area is VERY hilly and there are LOTS of steps everywhere, so be prepared for a great leg workout!

Third time staying here. It was exactly what we wanted.

We loved our stay at Villa Gelsomino. From the gorgeous room and bathroom to the shared sea-view balcony, our 3-night stay felt like we were at a friend's home. The staff are phenomenal and helpful in every manner. A wonderful experience, and we will be going back!

We stayed with 3 adults in one room. It was spacious and comfortable, pleasingly furnished and quiet considering it is right above the train station. There is no elevator and if you are traveling with heavy suit cases you have to lug them to the second floor. But that was the only draw back. We arrived by train from Florence( make sure you get off at La Spazia Centrale and not a station before also named La Spazia, but is a suburb) and were able to continue on to Cinque Terre within the hour. Wow, what a spot. Just across from the beach, restaurants, shopping. It’s all right there. And our own huge private terrace with a great view. They were very helpful with everything. And the short walk to the private parking was helpful and less expensive than the public garage.

We enjoyed our stay in our cozy room number 2 with an amazing view! After a short walk from the train station, we turned onto the passageway that led to the property. The passageway had 86 stone steps up to the property and then a metal staircase with 26 steps to our room. It was a workout to carry out luggage up the stairs, but the view was worth it! This was a simple hotel - bed & breakfast. The staff was friendly and helpful. Everything worked as it should. The sunny terrace in front was great! We also really liked the ample breakfast. The only thing that was a little difficult was finding this hotel with our balky or dysfunctional GPS. Even our local friend had some difficulty locating the street.

Room was very clean and the staff was very friendly.

Absolutely prime location. Very basic accommodation that may not suit everyone but those on a budget will love it.
