"Room was good, junior suite had added bonus of sun loungers on the balcony. Lunch was generally best meal of day, breakfast ok, but evening meals seemed a bit poorer as per other comments. That said, we always found something to eat and never left hungry."

"Had a lovely stay at this beautiful hotel that’s right on the beach. The staff are lovely and it was probably the most relaxing experience we’ve had on a summer holiday. The main hotel is dated but that’s a side issue as it’s very clean and well maintained. Food is excellent with a vast array of options for everyone. The bar staff are wonderful too."

"A really lovely hotel that we are looking at booking again. Came with my friend and my two children for 7 nights, all inclusive. Room was lovely and spacious with a huge bed for my friend and I and the sofa bed was big for the girls. Nice and clean and kitchen was good. Few ants in the bath most days but we washed them away. Had a lovely room away from the main pool and entertainment and it was nice and quiet. Kids pool was where we spent most our pool days as it was quieter than the bigger one! And oddly not really any screaming kids! Felt like our own private pool at times Very very few early morning sun lounger hoggers which was refreshing. We popped towels down when we went for breakfast at 9ish and there were still a few free. Food is ok. Breakfast great, lunches and dinners just a bit hit and miss. Sometimes lots to eat and other times not a huge amount that was nice. Different themes each evening and there was always something being freshly cooked which my friend and I liked."

"We might call these ulra posh "granny cottages" rather than "bungallows" Or, do you remember Channel 4s "Grand Designs" an architectural TV series? These "bungallows are sort of ultra posh modern "Grand Designs" "garden rooms". Really pleasant and comfortable. The high ceilings of the "bungallows" offer a really nice sofabed space. Our "Grand Designs" "bungallow" was, however, on a quiet dead-end road, not by a shimmering azure pool or a cute paving path between bungallows. But, being on the road actually gave us the feeling of being in a house and living on a very nice street. Which was very nice. The street runs - almost level - to the beach, around a corner. The sand isn't deep and soft but it is in a safe wide cove shape. I was delighted that my precious daughter wouldn't be swept away by ocean currents. The flightpath to the airport is high, so we didn't find the planes intrusive. We like the sense of connection that resorts near airports give. At the other side of the curved Playa del Castillo is a little "marina" with a FAB restaurant called, La Mar Salada, which had FABOTASTICO gambas al ajo, prawns in garlic. Extremely nice receptionists - including a lovely girl from Argentina. In summary, we loved our stay."

"We loved the pools and availability of the sun loungers all the time. The food was amazing and presented for every meal. All the staff were friendly and very helpful. Rooms were spacious and bathrooms clean. Bonus to have some UK tv channels. All inclusive package had good choices and liked that there were other cafes and bars included outside the hotel . Wil definitely recommend this to our friends and family."

"A gorgeous hotel, would definitely return. The food and drinks were reasonably priced, we had poolside entertainment most days, wine tasting, sangria making class etc and plenty of pool exercises and live singers. The rooms are lovely (we booked a pool view) and have all amenities. We each had a massage mid week in the hotels spa which was a nice treat."

"Fantastic resort due to having 4 pools and direct beach access to 3 swimming lagoons with white sand beach , good food choices , now 20 years old tho. Mini golf course was nearly unplayable due to leaves and stones . Having 4 pools is brilliant , love the large saltwater one. Wok and Zen menu is too limited . Plenty of things too do. Just needs a refurb to bring it back to true 5 star status ."
