Did had a wander full time there , been on Sandy Beach at every resort, but Penasco del Sol is different, clean , amazing staff, from front Deac to restaurant, pool bar etc . Next week we are going back to repeat all the fun.

Hotel was in the perfect location for what we were there to do. It was clean and user friendly. Front desk training is needed as it was painfully slow and with only one person working reception made it worse. Other than that, we were only there one night but enjoyed the hotel.

First room was on the ground floor with direct access to the beach. Sliding door was inoperable, and mosquitoes in the room. For $440 night I expected much better. We tried to checkout early, manager refused to refund the night, did offer another room. Changed rooms, shower took forever to get warm, and power went out twice (not the hotel fault). My daughter got stuck in the bathroom because the handle was broken, the entire stay was almost laughable. On a positive note, the pool was well maintained.

The hotel was very clean, and the staff was friendly. The restaurant was very mediocre, and I wouldn’t eat there again and the food was a little pricey for it not being very good. Also was a bit upset cause we had my nieces with us one day so we decided to hang by the pool and because they weren’t staying at the hotel they were not aloud to hang out, it was a little shocking considering we were buying drinks and food the whole time.
