"Great place. Loved our stay. Lock your door because monkeys will come in. Couple suggestions: 1. Music in the lobby/preferred bar to welcome you to Costa Rica and listen to at the bar. 2. The Piano Bar should have a piano player there all day taking requests and tips like your typical piano bar. 3. Scrap the silent disco. It was awkward."

"The property manager and staff are lovely. Everything else was underwhelming. It was hard to locate and there was a locked gate with no instructions for how to get in. The property looked nice from the photos but the images did not accurately represent the small, dark rooms and the fact that it’s a cluster of little studio motel rooms. It has the feel of a fixer upper motor lodge. It has tons of potential; just still needs work and wasn’t at all what we were led to believe we were renting. It’s overpriced for what it is. "

"We loved our stay at the Santa Elena Lodge. It was comfortable, clean, historical, and charming. The dinner and breakfast food was delicious. We would come back with the whole family next time!"

"The sea can accommodation is as advertised. Simple, rustic. With some nice modern touches like good A/C, wifi, smart TV. Cozy and comfortable for 2. Fridge and microwave. It's a nice location, convenient to several beaches. Walk to restaurants, supers, etc.Rate is very reasonable and owners are friendly and communicative. A crew of friendly dogs on site to accompany you on your walks to coyote beach. Even in the dry season, quite a bit of bird life at the lagoons, adjacent trails and beach.It was a real enjoyable stay. Word of caution though if you're hoping to use the pool at the resort next door- they want 30 bucks to swim. Also wouldn't rent me a bike. Pretty "

"Nice place, a bit older, but clean. close to ocean, but a bit of a walk to get there. Big climb to get to rooms, ok if you are not physically hampered. Close to some decent dining if you have a car. Food at property was average. Great value for dollars. Rooms very small and bank of 5 rooms share a small patio space. Nice common space below at front office. Many staff were volunteers from other countries learning to Kite Surf, they were all very friendly."

"We had an excellent time. Had a pet Pedro the giant iguana that lives in the large tree and would come to visit the pool and greeted us upon arrival. House was amazing and pool was even better. Definitely a highlight of the trip."
