"A short 3 day, 2 nite stay in early September. Leaves were still green, and weather was barely cool. Beauty of nature surrounded us. Restful with no noise of traffic, trains or planes. We were definitely, OFF THE GRID and loved every minute. Hiking Trail well kept. Hosts were were very hospitable."

"The home is on a finger of Claytor Lake, which was quiet and out of the wind. It is eclectic with kitchen on bottom level and living room area on the second level. You can access both levels independently from the driveway. Overall, comfortable for our needs given the weather wasn't great but we were in town for graduation."

"Our family of 4 had a nice stay at this country house with modern touches. The host was extremely responsive and I received check-in info days before which was a stress reliever. We saw groundhogs and so many deer. It was sweet slowing down and being in nature. The house had everything we needed: Keurig and coffee, hairdryer, linens, towels etc."

"We stayed at this cottage for my sons State swim meet at the aquatic center in Christiansburg. It was only 3 minutes away and couldn't have been better. The house was perfect. We weren't there much due to swimming, the fridge was perfect for us, but if you need to have a regular size fridge, this cottage has a mini fridge. The Cinnamon muffins and personalized card were also amazing. I only wish we had found this place sooner, as my son is moving up and we don't swim there anymore, but if...

"Overall the property meet expectations. The home was clean and well put together. Hot tub was clean and fully functional. Fishing was good and easy with a spacious dock. The driveway is steep with limited turn around space but other than that no issues."
