"We had an extremely delightful 4 night stay at this extra ordinary hotel. The whole team at the hotel gave us outstanding and excellent service at all times. The staff are so courteous and obliging, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are very spacious with a huge bathroom which had a separate rainfall shower, a bathtub and separate WC. The view from the Ocean View balcony room was simply incredible and mind blowing with the clear blue sea, white sandy beach, views of the archipelago islands and stunning sunsets. It is definitely a luxury hotel with fantastic amenities, location and delicious food. We were extremely impressed with the whole concept of this hotel."

"My wife and I travelled around south-east Asia for 3 weeks and spent 6 nights here and it was by far our favourite resort of the trip. The staff and amenities are amazing and the restaurants had so many options that I feel like a could have stayed another week and still not have tried everything. The quality of the food and drinks was exceptional across the board. The beach is private to the resort and many of the rooms are located right in the forest where there is an abundance of wild life. It was extremely common to see monkeys, monitor lizards, and exotic birds along with a long list of other wild life native to the island. They also provided a long list of complimentary services, one of which was a guided nature walk through the forested portion of the resort with a wild life biologist that happens multiple times a week. Food and cocktails are all reasonably priced and our room came with a 150RM/person dinner voucher that usually would cover a multiple course dinner with several drinks. We splurged a little on food and drinks but between the complimentary breakfast, afternoon tea mini buffet and the dinner voucher we easily could have eaten extremely well without paying. This genuinely deserves the title of being called a 5-star resort. I would highly recommend anyone going to Langkawi to come and stay at the Berjaya."

"Room was kept clean and very comfortable. Staff at front desk and restaurant very friendly and helpful. Bathtub too big for Asian built. Would be good if can include a non slip pad to use at bottom of tub so as to prevent from slipping down when placing head on the headrest to relax in the tub."

"A true bliss with the highest standard - but let the monkeys teach us, not entertain us We just returned from Ritz-Carlton Langkawi and it was exceptional on every level. *Room:* Impeccably clean, huge, quiet, true Ritz standard. Every detail perfect, from linens to bathroom. *Staff:* Warm, attentive, never intrusive. You feel genuinely cared for, not just served. Malaysian hospitality at its best. *Breakfast:* Outstanding variety, fresh, with local flavors and perfect service even at peak hours. *Beach & View:* Stunning. Private, calm, turquoise water with rainforest as backdrop. You feel in nature but with absolute luxury. What made it UNIQUE for us was the resident troop of dusky leaf monkeys (spectacled langurs). An endangered, gentle species living right in the resort. Watching mothers with bright orange babies in the morning is pure magic — something you will not find in any other luxury resort. One suggestion to make this paradise even better: *Have the naturalist more engaged with guests around the monkeys.* Many guests don't know how fragile they are. A short briefing at check-in or some.leaftllet to explain, or during morning walk — how to behave, keep distance, no feeding / touching, why our human viruses (even a cold) and feeding can cause disease, behavior change and dependence. Ritz has a chance to be a leader in conservation education, not just luxury. The monkeys are a gift, let's help guests protect them"

"The Danna is a small(ish) hotel that trades on its beachfront location and luxurious rooms. We were very happy there during our five night stay. Each of the three restaurants offers decent food and generous portions. The pool area is comfortable, although some maintenance may be required soon. All the staff are lovely. It’s a fine place either to do nothing or to go birdwatching or kayaking. Given the quality of the product the price is more than reasonable. My only criticism is that there needs to be a separate pool area for kids - otherwise the adults who just want to relax will find their day disrupted."
