"We had two weeks at this gorgeous property & enjoyed our time here, private, securely fenced,brilliant for our dogs. Kitchen is amazing & has everything that you need. Living/dining area spacious with enough chairs etc. Beds comfy & actually the lack of curtains didn't bother us at night. The description of the bathrooms on the VRBO site is incorrect. There are not 3 bathrooms. There is one bathroom with a shower,basin, toilet. Another bathroom with a bath, shower attachment but no screen or curtain, basin & then the loo is just next door to it. There is a downstairs toilet. No bidets. So we all ended up using the shower room but one of the reasons I booked this property was because of the number of bathrooms. A 2 week stay without a washing machine was challenging, especially as there is one on the property but not accessible to guests. The garden is lovely but there are some paving slabs that need attention - we tripped on them so put a chair over them so we didn't repeat it! The pool was great but not that clean on our arrival, and there were no instructions for the cover,but we found the key and got good with the pool robot & left it cleaner than we had found it. Ditto the bins - the previous occupants hadn't followed the instructions for rubbish & the bin at the bottom of the drive had not been emptied. We had to sort the rubbish, wash out the bin and then it got collected the following week. Info on days gardeners, pool maintenance visits would be helpful. "

"When we booked this place we spent months excited about it and talking about how cool it would be. And then we got there and it lived up to all of our hopes and more! We stayed for a month and never got tired of the amazing view from the castle to the grounds and from the grounds to the castle. We spent hours hiking in the woods and playing kickball on the main lawn. The kitchen is huge and had everything we needed. Jerome was a dream and arranged for his wife to cook us two french meals, which we absolutely loved. The castle is pretty isolated, but we didn't mind that. And the grocery store we liked was only 15 or so minutes away. There were a lot of bugs in the castle, but they didn't bother us, and we've come to expect that when we stay in rural settings. My husband and our four kids absolutely loved it here and would HIGHLY recommend it!"

"Very helpful Staff, clean room and public areas, dog firendly, free parking adjacent to the hotel. My personal opinion is that the Dinner and Breakfast costs are too high for a 3* Hotel. The qualioty of food was excellent but as a traveller staying only for 1 night I did not need such expensive meal options. In fact I declined breakfast because of the cost"

"We had a wonderful holiday. The location is in idilic countryside and farmland. There are sheep, cows and pigs all close by. We liked our visits to nearby Conches and Everaux. We were very happy to make a trip to Paris from here in order to see the Olympic football. Our son loved the pool which was kept beautifully. What a wonderful holiday. Thank you."
