An added perk we didn’t even realize until arriving was that this house is associated with the Awa hotel brand and you get all the perks of the hotel that is within a 5 minute walk. "The hotel itself is beautiful with a lovely breakfast and clean cool with hammocks. The location of the hotel however it is in the jungle area so walking distance to the centre of town can be tricky. Also, they didn’t have the bicycles on hand so we had to take taxis. However, if you were looking for solitude, it is very close to an amazing beach that doesn’t have lots of people which can be worth it. "Room was much smaller than anticipated and the AC unit was in the upstairs loft area so the upstairs bedroom got super cold and the downstairs bedroom was hot. Air did not circulate well. Because our room was in the front of the hotel, the balcony overlooked the busy street. It was extremely noisy and bright from the street lights in the evening. "The friendliness and consideration of ALL the staff,made our stay special.They suggested the upgrades and food discounts without us prompting and were always attentive to our needs. The rooms were clean and well appointed and felt luxurious, if you step out make sure to have mosquito spray! The grounds are better than the photos,the beach was great for me but very quite this end of the island. A short bumpy taxi ride will put you in the town in 10 minutes and costs around $12.00. Overall our stay was great and relaxing."
