"The overall corriente was not the best, the hotel is located in the far top of the town , not making it walking distance with kids. We made a reservation for a family room that looked refurbished and very modern in the pictures, they gave us two traditional connecting rooms that were very old. Clean but old. In one of the rooms AC didn’t work and kept dropping water all night."

"The hotel is very well situated in a quiet area of Palau and the sea view balcony rooms have an incredible view out over the marina and beyond. The room was nice, a shame that the door did not line up to see the view out. The air conditioning and bathroom were great, but there are no tea/coffee making facilities and the bed was not overly comfortable. "Hotel Excelsior is all about the location. It’s right in the centre of La Maddalena, with an amazing waterfront position where you can sit and watch the ferries come and go. I booked a sea view room, which was definitely worth it and easily the highlight of the stay. The rooms are on the small side but were clean and comfortable, and the air conditioning was excellent, which made a big difference during the warmer weather.
