"The hotel is in a great location, just one block from Punta Zicatela’s main street, with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. The staff is very friendly, and the bar-restaurant offers great cocktails. The bartender is very creative and takes the time to explain the different drinks—you should definitely try the alacrán mezcal. That said, the room towels could use some improvement. One downside: on one night, some guests arrived around 2 AM and started a loud party in their room. Security didn’t intervene until around 6 AM, so we weren’t able to sleep that night. Aside from that incident, the rest of our stay was very quiet."

"I stayed in many hotels in this area, I paid a lot of money for many of them, often too too much, and some were horrible. This hotel has the proximity to the beach, large clean rooms, the sound of the sea, what else do I need… Close to everything in Puerto. I cannot wait to come back. I could not recommend more."

"My room was very clean and very modern with well functioning quiet air conditioning plus ceiling fan. Casa Manglar is a gem of a place that feels more like a quaint yet ultra modern bed and breakfast, with a limited amount of rooms - I think 12. Service is of 5-star quality, the design of the hotel offers the serenity of a spa. Again, 5-star, without pretense. Casa Manglar is located on a very flattened dirt road, a few feet away from the main road that takes you to Puerto Escondido Centro; about 3 miles away. Aside from Centro, beach access is a strong walk to the nearest beach. There’s also a super clean, beautifully clear-water interior pool when a plunge is desired. For less reliance on taxis, I’ll look to rent a car or moped to get around, upon my next visit. The town offers many rental options. My stay at Casa Manglar was brief, but I highly recommend this hotel!"

"Room was clean, big restroom hot and cold water , air conditioning working good they algo have a ceiling fan so perfect ! Location is great a couple of blocks away from all the restaurants and bars like 3-5 min walk max. Leída is an excellent host, she message me every day if I needed room cleaning and give me recomandations or restaurants and taxi . I really enjoy my stay there "

"I stayed at Notto for my birthday on February 13, and my experience was positive at first. The room and stay itself were good, but unfortunately everything went downhill when I checked out. I was told there would be a 4,000 peso hold on my card for incidentals. Instead of placing a hold, they actually charged my card. It has now been almost three weeks, and the hotel has still not been able to reverse the charge. What’s even more concerning is that they asked me to send my bank account information through WhatsApp in order to process the refund, which felt very unprofessional and insecure. Despite multiple conversations with the manager and hotel staff, I still have not received my refund of over $200 USD. This has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing, especially since the issue should have been simple to resolve. A mistake like this can happen, but taking weeks without resolving it and asking for sensitive financial information over messaging apps is not acceptable. I hope the hotel resolves this soon, but based on my experience, I would recommend being cautious with billing and deposits if you stay here."

"Casa Toro was a great stay. The pool was perfect after a hot morning out exploring. The staff was attentive and kind, had one mishap where we thought we had transportation scheduled for early morning transport to dolphin tour but a ride never showed up, thankfully we were able to pivot and get to our destination on time, otherwise all other travel arrangements went as planned. I think it’s important to mention that in order to use the sauna and cold plunge you have to pay extra, not much but it’s also not included in your stay. I would definitely stay at casa toro again. "

"If you’re debating staying here just book it! We spent one week here and it was incredible. We stayed in the junior king suite. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. It’s close to the Main Street in la Punta but away from all the hustle and bustle. Staff were friendly and so helpful. Eric made us coffee and breakfast every morning-delicious. Didn’t even have to leave the property. I messaged the front desk in the lobby and they responded in seconds. I wouldn’t stay any where else. They helped arrange all of our travel too. I miss it already. 10/10"
