"The apartments are beautiful and in an excellent location. Close to the beach and an amazing array of places to eat and drink, I couldn’t recommend the location highly enough. The pool area is also lovely. Unfortunately there is construction work next door (May 2024) which looks like it may be some time away from finishing. I was disappointed that Expedia did not mention this at the time of booking, as it was very noisy and did impact sitting by the pool. There are also no laundry...

"Room and bathroom were spacious. I liked the water dispenser in the room which also provided instant hot water. Pool area was lovely and we had it to ourselves one afternoon. There is a spa in the hotel, recommend the foot and Balinese massage. Staff were very friendly. There are plenty of restaurants, cafes, bars and shops nearby."

"The hotel was ok. Pool was dirty and the restaurant was bad. They didn’t have anything, even coffee? No breakfast like they advertise. We had to walk around for breakfast and there was literally nothing around. "

"Absolutely disgusting place. Unhygienic and unsafe for a child/ any family. It instantly smelt of rats and it was clear the apartment had not been cleaned. Multiple dead animals were found, including cockroaches in the shower. The utensil cupboard, which smelt horrendous, was clear that rats were living in there as multiple rat droppings would appear daily. The people were nice but I believe it was unnecessary that 3 adults (2 men and 1 women) show up, on my first night, at the door at 11pm. I...

"We had a gorgeous suite, with a lot of amenities you dont find elsewhere in Canggu. The breakfasts was amazing each morning and so was the menu for dinner. The pool was clean and beautiful. One day I had a headache and the front reception was kind enough to give me some ibuprofen free if charge. Very hospitable staff. It was a wonderful experience. The only thing that was a tiny bit of a downfall was it was a bit outside of Canggu where we were spending most of our time."

"Villa nicht angeschrieben und ohne Hilfe des Personals nicht auffindbar. Auch in der Nachbarschaft kennt niemand die Villa unter dem Namen. Sonst sehr schön und liebevoll eingerichtet. Aus dem oberen Zimmer wunderschöne Sicht über die Reisfelder. Super Matratze. Lage relativ gut, aber nicht ganz zentral. Affenwald ist zu Fuss gut erreichbar. Um ins Zentrum zu gelangen, muss der Affenwald durchquert werden. Dafür ausserordentlich ruhig."

"The hotel is really nice and quiet location but still easy to go around that area, not far from the beach. Staffs are really friendly. The bad thing is WiFi doesn’t work really well in the hotel room needed to ask the staff to reboot the modem nearly everyday. Breakfast are delicious except got no water boiler in the room."

"Well, on the positive side, the young children that run the place with no adults in sight are all very nice. Only one speaks English and the other ones are to shy to offer any help or assistance. The one boy that speaks English was very nice but offered no real solutions. Sadly this entire place is run down, badly maintained, and missing a good cleaning or remolding. "Villa Kayu Raja is in a good location, but not really walkable to restaurants or the beach, especially at night. The sidewalk ends a bit before the villa, so you’re left walking in the busy street. The villa itself is nice, but I was unimpressed with the private pool. It is very small and the yard itself is deceiving in size from the pictures. Virtually no sunlight comes into the pool area as well, so the pool is a bit chilly and you aren’t able to do any sun tanning. The price is a bit steep...
