Beautiful house and pool

We were delighted with the house and pool at La Calvetie. The house was well appointed with everything you need for a family holiday. The garden was large with plenty of space for children to play, the pool was a good size with lots of sun loungers and the Boules court was used every night. The house manager was on call to help out with any little problems. Highly recommended.

Magnifique

Nichée sur les hauteurs et au milieu de nulle part, la Calvetié est un endroit magique. Une très belle maison, un domaine/jardin maginifque, une vue époustouflante, piscine et équipements au top, des salles de bains de rêve, nous avons passé un excellent séjour. Seul petit bémol sur la literie, question de goût probablement mais pas assez ferme pour nous.

Wonderful stay

We enjoyed the house with 2 families and kids. Beautiful, quiet location with great weather. The house and pool were clean and well maintained and the 4 bathrooms were highly appreciated. Much to see and do in the environment within a distance of 60 mins drive. Highly recommended.

Endroit calme et spacieux , Tres belle maison familiale bien entretenue , équipements a disposition , grand jardin avec piscine a disposition . Les voisins Jackie et Gilbert qui travaillent dans la ferme pres de la maison sont tres sympathique et conviviales

Prachtige vakantie

Wij hadden een super tijd in deze mooie woning. Ondanks het minder goede weer hebben we toch alle dagen het zwembad kunnen gebruiken. Wij bezochten Albi, Lautrec, we maakten een wandeling aan de watervallen van Arifat. Wij verbleven hier samen met onze kinderen en kleinkinderen.

Zalige vakantie!

We hebben genoten van het ruime huis, het zwembad en de prachtige vergezichten. Het landschap en de rust, de natuur deden ons goed. We werden hartelijk welkom geheten door Jacqui en Gilbert. Ze stonden steeds voor ons klaar. Ook hadden we een zeer goed contact met de eigenaars. We ontvingen op voorhand een zeer uitgebreide huisgids zodat we goed voorbereid konden vertrekken. Het feit dat er er lakens, handdoeken (zowel voor badkamer als zwembad) voorzien werden en na een week vervangen werden, vonden we pure luxe. Op zich heeft La Calvetié alles wat nodig is voor een ideale vakantie. Toch genoten we ook van uitstapjes naar Lautrec, Castres, Albi, Carcassonne (vroeg vertrekken zodat je de drukte voor bent!), de markt in Réalmont (op woensdag) en Le Sidobre en de Montagne noire. Dit huis is een echte aanrader als je wil genieten van natuur en rust!

Excellent séjour entre amis

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour entre amis. La propriété était parfaitement adaptée et agencée à notre groupe (3 couples avec 4 enfants). Nous avons été en contact régulier avec les propriétaires pour échanger sur la situation actuelle (covid) et nos différentes demandes. La maison offre de très belles prestations. Piscine sécurisée. Maison au calme avec une superbe vue sur la splendide campagne du tarn. La petite ferme à proximité fera le bonheur des enfants...et l'accueil chaleureux et festif de Gilbert et Jacky enchantera votre séjour!

Séjour au calme dans une très belle villa au cœur du Tarn

Nous avons passé une magnifique semaine en famille dans la très belle maison de Kay et Jim. La maison était très bien équipée, avec une très belle piscine au milieu d'un cadre idyllique.

Nous recommandons vivement cette belle location magnifiquement située.

Nous (5 adultes et 4 enfants) avons passé un séjour idyllique dans la Calvetié pendant une semaine au mois d’aôut. La maison est superbe et très bien aménagée avec le charme d'une maison "habitée" dont les nombreuses photos familiales donnent une impression de vie et de séjour chez des amis, aux antipodes d'une ambiance impersonnelle. Les chambres sont vastes avec chacune une salle de bains attenante, la piscine est fantastique. L’environnement en pleine campagne est d’un calme olympien et reposant et la vue, qui est dégagée sur 360 degrés, est magnifique. De plus les voisins agriculteurs Jackie et Gilbert sont charmants et toujours disponibles. Isabelle et l'ensemble de sa famille

Lovely holiday'en famille'

Eight of us including grandsons 11& 8 spent a torrid week in during the August heatwave. The house is set in beautiful scenery far from the madding crowd but is well equipped with plenty of space. The pool was a lifesaver and was much used.It was super to see the stars and a superb view of Mars without any light pollution.Lots of butterflies and wildlife in general including a handsome hare who stopped by to stare at us one early morning. We all enjoyed playing late night boules with no one to disturb, even when taking late night swims. Life at La Calvétie was so congenial that we didn't travel much. We did go to Carcassonne and wished we hadn't as it was like the Seventh Circle of Hell on a hot August weekday! Lautrec and Castres were much nicer. The house is equally suitable for large family gatherings or for several couples as there are 4 bathrooms -thus avoiding morning grumblings!

Grande maison au calme

Nous avons séjourné pendant 15 jours à 2 familles (chaque famille ayant 2 enfants) La maison est spacieuse, confortable, bien décorée et bien équipée. L’extérieur avec la piscine et le jardin sont très agréables. Nous étions dans un endroit reculé (ce que nous recherchions) et qui nous a beaucoup plu ! Nous avons pu découvrir Lautrec, Castres, Toulouse et Albi qui a été notre plus belle découverte ! Merci pour tout.

Well equipped and well appointed home. Nice rural location with great views.

Easy to book and manage before visit to France. Clean and ready for arrival. Suited us well being 6 adults and 2 children: space for all to sit and read, swim, play in the garden or ramble. Thanks to Jim and Kay for sharing their home. A great week's break for us.

Beautiful house in delightful location

This is a wonderful house in a beautiful and peaceful location. It was perfect for our family holiday: plenty of room for eight of us, pool and boules to occupy us when we needed a break from just sitting in the sun and reading, and no neighbours to disturb! The house has been tastefully renovated, with all the facilities and equipment you could hope for. Hard to beat for a holiday get away!

Séjour parfait dans cette magnifique maison

Nous avons passé d'excellentes vacances entre amis à La Calvetié. La maison est magnifique, aménagée avec goût ; les équipements sont de qualité et bien entretenus. Les salles de vie sont conviviales et spacieuses. Les chambres et notamment la literie sont très confortables et 3 d'entre elles ont leur salle de bain attenante, une 4eme salle de bain pour les 2 chambres "enfants". Jackie et Gilbert qui travaillent à la ferme attenante sont charmants et disponibles. Nous recommandons totalement cette maison et la gardons dans nos coups de coeur.

Inoubliable séjour à la Calvétié - nos deux familles avec jeunes enfants y ont trouvé tout le confort, l'équipement, l'espace et la sécurité nécessaires, et même plus, pour profiter d'une trop courte semaine dans cette belle région. Que du bonheur!

Maison idéale pour des vacances au calme et en famille. Nous étions 4 adultes et 3 enfants dont un bébé, et l'équipement était plus que complet (une table à langer serait le top). Lieu magique, vue magnifique, piscine sécurisée. Nombreuses visites et activités aux alentours. Literie, taille des chambres et salles de bains exceptionnelles! Espace commun très spacieux. Ajoutez de nouvelles moustiquaires et vous aurez 6 étoiles sur 5 :-). Confort proche de l'appart-hôtel: serviettes de bain et piscine, draps de lit, plateau d'arrivée (café, thé, lait, ..), fond de cuisine (épices, huiles, ...), produits d'entretien, lessive, ... La cerise sur le gâteau: les voisins Jaquy et Gilbert, adorables, serviables, un vrai coup de cœur. Leurs animaux (moutons, poules, coqs) ont fait le plaisir de nos enfants.

COMME DANS LES FILMS...

Nous revenons de la Calvétie où nous avons passé une formidable semaine entre amis (9 au total). La maison est très belle, très spacieuse et très bien équipée, tout comme la piscine, où transats et parasols ne manquent pas. La vue de la terrasse est vraiment superbe. Il faut aller à Castres pour les courses mais il y a deux réfrigérateurs et un congélateur. De quoi stocker... Les propriétaires laissent par ailleurs un fonds d'épicerie ce qui est très agréable et appréciable en cas d'arrivée tardive. Par ailleurs, la région offre de magnifiques promenades (Albi, Cordes, Lautrec, Carcassonne, la Montagne Noire...). Nous avons vraiment aimé cet endroit.

Prachtig ! Ongelooflijk mooi !

Wij hadden een prachtig verblijf in La Calvetië ! Een supermooi, heel verzorgd en rustig huis en zwembad . Superservice en een prachtige omgeving met heel veel rust ! Enkel de haan kraait je 's morgens wakker :) Wij zouden er zeker direct opnieuw naar toe gaan. Aan de eigenaars : superbedankt !

Inmejorable!

La casa es increíble, está en un entorno maravilloso, tiene todas las comodidades que uno puede desear y está muy bien equipada, desde juguetes para los niños, complementos para la piscina, menaje de cocina muy abundante, electrodomésticos muy completos y acordes con el número de personas que puede acoger la casa (dos frigoríficos por ejemplo), etc, etc. Los propietarios son encantadores y sus recomendaciones sobre la casa, las atracciones turísticas y restaurantes locales son muy precisas y denotan un gusto exquisito. Sigan sus consejos! Aunque no están cerca de la propiedad, la recogida de llaves y la atención posterior no supone ningún problema. Cuando llegamos había una cama a la que le faltaba la ropa de cama por un malentendido, llamamos y en menos de 10 minutos llegó una persona para solucionarlo. Al lado hay una granja con unos dueños encantadores que no tienen inconveniente en que los niños pasen a ver los animales si se tiene el cuidado adecuado. Las pequeñas carreteras locales, sin apenas tráfico, son perfectas para salir a correr. Por el entorno en el que se encuentra, la amabilidad de los propietarios y las comodidades que ofrece la casa es una excelente recomendación. Solo espero volver de nuevo en poco tiempo.

A Special Place

This lovely welcoming farmhouse provided a magnificent base for a family wedding which took place in a small village, 25 minutes away, not far from the bride’s home. The property accommodated very comfortably our immediate family and family joining us from Canada. We were also able to cater with ease for other wedding guests staying in the vicinity and popping in for drinks or for supper in the days following the event. Whilst keeping the French rustic charm of the property, Jim and Kay have created a modern elegant interior: bright, uncluttered and comfortable. Light oak has been used most attractively to open up the stairs and landings, The good quality beds and bedlinen have already been mentioned by other reviewers: add to these the well-appointed bathrooms and the lashings of hot water. Although the kitchen area is small, a good sized utilty room provides extra storage. There was everything we needed for cooking and the domestic appliances were excellent The house is deep into the countryside – there is no such thing as a corner shop. The boulangerie in Lautrec sells excellent croissants if you get there early enough and we bought delicious freshly made pizzas from the bakery in Puycalvel itself – and even ordered them on-line. The house has all those modern amenities holiday makers think they can do without – but can’t really: wi-fi, landline phone, and access to British television. Jacky, the farmer next door, welcomed a constant stream of small children, anxious to see the newly born lambs. Kay’s ‘welcome pack’ included easily accessed information on everything we could possibly want to know and she supplied us with directions to the house from points north, south, east and west.

Wonderful.

Fabulous house in a wonderful, rural location. Quiet, calm, spacious and extremely well-finished. Jacqui, the farmer next door, befriended us and gave us more garlic than we will ever need. A great holiday and we will be back.

Tremendous

We have just had a family holiday here. A truly lovely spot! The house was spacious and well laid out. The decor was very good and the pool was just perfect for the kids. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend 'La Calvetie' to anyone looking for a quality yet homely retreat. It's also in a wonderful part of France!
