Pyrgos Kalisti, Santorini view
If you find yourself on the Greek island of Santorini and want to escape the crowds of tourists, I would highly recommend you try the small village of Pyrgos. It is actually not that small, and if, like me, you stop at every corner to get a photo, you will spend a good half day there. So many opportunities in the narrow streets, with white walls and houses, coloured features everywhere, a couple of churches and historical buildings, and an amazing view all the way to the Asean sea.

#mountains Vothonas is a settlement excavated into the banks of a ravine formed by a torrent. It was tough finding it without a map, just an image of a church called "Panaghia Trypa". the rock hewn church of Panagia Trypa (Virgin Mary in the Hole), or Panagia Sergena, This remote church was used by locals as refuge during the Turkish rule.Its off the beaten track and here you can only see the facade of the entrance to the church. #endlesssummer#stunningstructures
