"Other than the fact that no one was there when I arrived and I had to call and wait for them, things were great. The hot water also took a while to arrive and didn't last long. But the staff were helpful and the location was close to most of what you want to see in Pingyao."

"Very nice hotel in an historic building inside the ancient town. Friendly And helpful staff, good food (although I kind of felt that Chinese customers got kind of different menu and breakfast). Spacious rooms and bath amenities. Beds can be on the hard side to my taste. "

"The area was generally very dirty. The entrance to the hotel was being used as a shop for Chinese girls to get dressed up and having makeup. Hence it was as you were entering a small fitting room. The staff could hardly understand a word of english, while we had to ask for very standard supplys such as toilet roles to be provided to the room."
