Very nice home base for our VI travels!
Our family of 3 plus in-laws stayed here for and really enjoyed it overall. The house itself was very nice and well located on the island for day trips! Everyone had their own space!
The reason I gave it 4 stars, rather than 5 even though I did like it very much is because the village itself, "Qualicum Landing" is SOO confusing and cattywampus! The cottage #s are NOT in order and are all over the place so it took awhile to find it. The gates were also a bit wonky. The people who developed the property must have been too cheap to put key pads where you could enter the code from your car and one gate let you in but didnt let you out. So please, it would be so nice of this village community could be a little more organized. This speaks to the developers though and not the actual host.
The place itself was nice, clean, and well equipped! It had most everything we needed. One thing they should keep there that we didnt have were kitchen scissors! They would have come in handy many times! The village is quiet and nice and out of the way of the tourist areas which I loved! If you plan to rent this house and are seeing this review, please note that the beach is more of a "look and see" beach rather than a functional "play in the water beach" Its very rocky and not friendly for the unstable walker! SO plan to go out there for sunsets/ to watch for wildlife but not necessarily to swim!
The Shore restaurant is awesome on the way to QB.
