We had a wonderful stay at this charming bed and breakfast. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was very well prepared and beautifully presented each morning. The location is absolutely stunning and added so much to the overall experience. We truly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable getaway.
Overall, our stay was pleasant. This is an older house so there is some charm to it. The cleanliness could have been better in the bathroom. Some older things should be replaced (shower curtain, rod, toilet seat, etc). Our room was small and quaint.
The food was tasty, but would have liked to have a choice in meals, especially for people with allergies.
The owner was really nice. Would stay again.
Perfect in every way. You won’t get a warmer welcome anywhere and the hotel is so full of character and comfort. Beautiful spot to relax, take in the beautiful scenery, watch ospreys, go to the beach, kayak, visit vineyards … or just take a book and sit on the deck!
Charming restored historic hotel. The village of Whitehaven
is a collection of traditional old homes which have mostly been restored. The hotel is very near a historic ferry
which operates every day for free since it is part of the
state hywy system. Taking the ferry which crosses the Wicomico River can save an amount of time if travelling
in some directions. The is hostess very helpful , accommodating and serves a superb breakfast.
This was an amazing bed and breakfast. Everyone was so welcoming. The grounds were beautiful and as a bonus, guests could use kayaks, bicycles. Guests were greeted with wine, coffee, tea, and cookies. The porch was the perfect spot to end the day, watching a nearby osprey nest and visiting geese.
WE loved the peace and beauty of this historic hotel .
Our only complaint was there was a little bit too much noise at night because the walls are thin. But we had wonderful time . we will return.
A hidden gem. A historic hotel converted into B&B. Spectacular location, amazing rooms, outstanding staff. Can't say enough good things about the place. Just amazing.
First time @ BnB… booked thru reviews.
Wasn’t exactly how I pictured BnB. Main disappointment that it was very very secluded.
Had to drive a half hour to get to store or restaurants. I was also surprised that the owner actually cooks breakfast and serves you in the dining room…no choice in what is served and no notice of what the breakfast may be for the day. No pastries toast or even a piece fruit that you could also help yourself too.
Positive note, the owner was very sweet and attentive…. Super nice person.
Our recent stay at Whitehaven Hotel was an absolute delight. As first-time guests at a bed and breakfast, we were unsure what to expect, but Whitehaven Hotel surpassed all our expectations. Cindy and her team of ladies were outstanding hosts, offering warm and attentive service throughout our visit. The outdoor space was both charming and comfortable, providing a perfect spot to relax. The breakfast was a highlight, with delicious food and exceptional coffee that made the morning special. We can't wait to return and experience this wonderful place again. Highly recommended!
The Whitehaven is absolutely so beautiful! The decor and historic detail are lovely and tasteful. The setting is right on the river with fantastic gardens and views. The breakfast unique and delicious. All in an unexpectedly bucolic and charming end of the road, cozy little village. The sky and stars are easily seen. So peaceful! The ferry is charming too!
We were pleasantly surprised about this property. It was a beautiful hotel turned B&B adjacent to a river. The hotel was wonderful given its historic architecture and location. There was wine and cheese served in late afternoon and breakfast was amazing.
The house was old, but well taken care of and had a lot of character. No-one was there to greet us, our keys were hanging on the door. We saw no staff the entire time we were there.
Our stay at Whitehaven was thoroughly enjoyable. Cindy was a gracious hostess and an amazing chef…the breakfast was outstanding. Thank you for a lovely time, we plan to visit again soon!
Fantastic location. Wonderfully brought back to its former glory. All Staff are excellent and look after your every need. A real home from home. Thank you.
Excellent getaway!
This bed and breakfast, circa 1810, offered us much needed respite from the hustle and bustle of every day life. Situated along the Wicomico River, the scenic views were relaxing. The inviting porch rockers made it easy to appreciate the evening air and refreshing breeze as vessels passed and waterfowl flickered about.
Cindy, the Innkeeper, was attentive and kind. Her warmth permeated throughout the entire place. She offered suggestions for things to do and places to eat…even had some coupons for some of the activities. Each morning all the guests would gather, eagerly awaiting the breakfast that she’d meticulously prepared for us. Delicious!!! ✨
Adding to the tranquility, the town is very small with the main two attractions being the Whitehaven Hotel B&B and the Whitehaven Ferry. The ferry was pretty cool to watch. Up to 3 vehicles would drive on and get ferried to the other side. We also borrowed the kayaks and went up river exploring the tributaries of the Wicomico River. What a trip! Do yourself a favor and book a stay.❤️
Such a beautiful place inside and out! We loved walking around outside and sitting on the dock. The staff was wonderful. Sadly we didn't have time to stay for breakfast, but they were so sweet to make my daughter toast while we were loading the car.
A lovely B&B in a unique location overlooking the Wicomico river in an old Victorian house that has been lovingly restored. Great hospitality and breakfast with good recommendations of local restaurants.
Will hopefully get opportunity to stay again and definitely recommend.
