"I was in awe of Casa Parcha my entire trip. The scenery was absolutely beautiful, I felt like I had stepped into paradise. I stayed in the Riverview tent. The tent was clean and beautiful. Before going I was worried about the bugs, temperature, and the sound of the coqui. There were hardly any bugs, the temperature was beautiful, in the high 60s at night (in April), and the sound of the coqui helped me to sleep. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and with the fan blowing and the brace coming in from the screens, I slept wonderfully.
The property is exactly as shown online. I swam in the water, sat on the veranda, swung in the hammock and showered outside. You’re truly immersed in nature at Casa Parcha. I felt immense gratitude and at peace here.
There is a small food stand across from Casa Parcha that sells delicious local food. Other than that, you’ll need to bring your own food in. There is no microwave, so just prepare for that.
I did the tour of the rainforest that Yesenia hooked me up with. The base camp was 2 minutes away from Casa Parcha, so an easy drive. I ended up being the only person on the tour, and the whole experience was breathtaking. Gabe taught me so much about the land and the history, and also bright me into natural pools and waterfalls. It was a perfect mixture of adventure and zen.
As a solo female traveler, I felt completely safe and comfortable during my stay. I didn’t want to leave and I’ll absolutely be visiting again!"
