Cozy cabin in the woods
Great little retreat on private, but conveniently located Quechee property.
Nice kitchen, deck with views and screened in porch.
Steep driveway and AWD is a must if snow on the ground.

Great Location
We are a group of 6 adults who live to rent a house and explore an area. This house was a perfect size and located between Quechee Gorge and Woodstock Vermont for all day exploring of both areas . We also were close enough to visit the State Capitol area for a day. Great place to stay and explore

Perfect location between Quechee and Woodstock
Super clean on the inside. Comfortable master bed. Well stocked kitchen. Quiet and private location.
this was a great house for us. there was space for everyone. the kitchen is very well stocked and the beds comfortable. it is a cozy house with rustic decor. the location is great. there are not enough wine glasses and the towels are small but those are minor details! we would go back, especially in another season to use the screen porch!

Fantastic conveniently located cabin
This is a pleasant and comfortable log cabin with plenty of room for up to 7 guests. The kitchen is totally usable, but quite outdated. It is well equiped although difficult to find things do to poor organization.
Private and secluded, the house offered a nice view and relaxing setting. Excellent access to Quechee and Woodstock. Kitchen has lots of dishes, adequate utensils and cooking pans, but bring your own dishtowels and napkins! The stated rent was reasonable, but the cleaning and other fees are exorbitant. The house was clean on the surface, but we in need of more careful and deeper cleaning in places, such as the windows, window sills, and the deck. Not a great value for a short stay for two people.
All in all , the house is fine. Very charming from the outside. It’s very basic but has what you need for short stay. You do need to bring your own toilet paper. I do think it’s important to know if you are renting this house in the winter you absolutely need to use 4WD to get up and down the driveway. It is very steep with a tight turn and they don’t treat for ice at all . Our 4Runner was in 4WD and still slid down! We had a good short stay

Good spot for summer hiking
Overall, our stay was great. The house is well situated for hikes in New Hampshire and Vermont and only a short drive to Woodstock. The photos on the website should be updated to reflect that what the conditions are on the outside of the house. The area around the house is really overgrown and could use a little clean up. Also, while entertaining, the owner should consider some way to secure the trash bins to discourage some of the local "non-human" population from late night raids.

Cozy cabin
We loved the main cabin room,?which had a beautiful view of the area and cozy inside. The access was easy and the rooms were clean and beds comfortable. The only suggestion I give is that we have the opportunity to check with the property’s manager - as other similar rental apps have. We could only chat to let them know we had to check out a day earlier and I still got an email the next day asking if I was ready to check out. So poor communication in that area. Otherwise, the stay was very good!

Comfortable
Beautiful location for this unique property. 15 min or less from Quechee, Woodstock, White River Junction...25 min from Sharon. Lots of information provided on local activities including maps and an atlas. Beds were comfy and towels were fresh. Travel-sized bath soap/shampoo/conditioner provided. Big, new washer and dryer available (the water knobs are to the right) We enjoyed the deck and the screened porch. We were a party of 8 and three generations. The eldest of us found a couple of quirky inconveniences, but the property managers were prompt with their responses and solutions. AC in the master suite (never used). All windows are screened. We felt safe in this isolated location.
This property was just what we were looking for in a weekend getaway in VT. Would highly recommend.
