"Unfortunately the hot weather spoilt this stay. The room 304 was like Satans Inferno - so hot - the provided fan only moved hot air around - air con would have been so much better. Nearly went down to sleep in reception which is air conditioned. "
"The Thames Head Inn is a great gem. It's about a 1 mile walk from the Kemble train station, I walked alongside the road since taxi service is scarce and had no problems. There aren't any other businesses nearby, so I ate dinner there as well (delicious) and paid for breakfast the next morning (also delicious). The only niggle was…The weather was very warm and when we first arrived in the room all windows were closed. It heat in the room was unbearable. There was a floor standing fan which we put on straight away. There was also no fridge in the room. "This is a beautiful old pub in a fantastic location, opposite the Abbey, close to the river and a very short walk from shops, restaurants, pubs and museums in the historic town of Tewkesbury.
The staff are all amazing, freindly, helpful and work really hard but at busy times it sometimes seems there are not enough of them. "
