Very Good

Beautiful colonial hacienda right downtown centro with wonderful staff and daily housekeeping. There is a wonderful restaurant, El Candil, in the rear of the building and tranvia tour sales at the front entrance. Prime location in the historical downtown.
The accommodations were beautiful. It’s different from what I am used to because of no AC, but still a beautiful stay and delightful staff.
Ricardo Viñas was so kind and helpful to us, and my wife and I were thankful for his service.
Clean, Historical, and beautiful!
The hotel is astoundingly beautiful. It is a step back into history, stone staircases, tall ceilings, decorative painting, period furniture. Stained-glass ceiling.
But it is not a modern hotel, and several aspects were lacking. One of our party had trouble with nternet part of the time. Few outlets for charging. The shower sometimes was tricky. It is an :"event" locale and one of the nights the party went on until 2 am, and at 7 they began the sign=in for the breakfast. The rooms surround the patio where the events occur. When the electricity went out for 5 hours in the central blocks of the city, the hotel didn't have candles on hand.
Wonderful experience for a few nights during the week, ask about planned events.
The hotel needs renovation, rooms old, tubs dirty, the room have an aircondition unit but they said they could not find the remote to turn them on. Terrible appearance! I booked a whole week, but I could not stay in this hotel, I had to pay for another one.

Noisy with a party until 3 am in the middle of the hotel patio.
Hotel located in Queretaro Colonial area it is known fot its restaurant with exquisite spanish and mexican fusion
Its arquitectura is besutifull
Its history remainds a splenfid colonial times since it was a convent and a prestigious excusive school fot young ladied
It was close to everything but we had issues with reservation and had to pay an extra fee. Room was a little dirty and blankets weren’t the best but the room was big. Bathroom was tiny.

Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Avoid staying here at all cost. Located on busy loud street will result in sleepless night. The stuff was not willing to help with inside or outside noise, flash lights, high volume music, trash cans dragged through stone floor. Dirty linens and towels. Weird room design with hot tub is basically in the middle of the room. Staff is very passive aggressive, dismissive. We checked out earlier. They refused to refund any unused nights or move us to different room. On top of it, we got bedbug bites. Worst hotel experience ever.
It's a lovely, historic hotel. You do need a little patience and know hot water will eventually come. It was a little odd having an RV-size shower in the room, but it worked. The front desk was friendly and helpful and the maid service was exemplary. Very very conveniently located. I would stay again.

Well I reserve a room that they don’t have available, they send me to another hotel, that was a regular,el senorial, I can hear all what the guess was talkin until early morning
Nice visit with family.
2 issues, the bathroom vent fan in our room was way too loud, it woke everyone up in the night when anyone used it. We ask to have something done to it and nothing was done. And one of the family members had an issue with one of the front desk workers coughing a lot in the early morning waking him up.
No A.C in Room 28. Old bathrooms to take a bath climb steps in to the old bath tub. Should show the room when I extended my stay x one more night. Let me use a big portable fan only the outlet is to close to the bed. Should show the guest the room because is and very old exconvent .
The best things about this place were the location and the value. We booked last minute and paid less than $100 for the night. Keeping that in mind everything else doesn’t seem so bad. The hotel is in the city cemetery so right in the heart of everything so a short walk to the plazas and restaurants. Personally next time I’ll spend more and stay somewhere else. The hotel itself is beautiful with beautiful decor and the room was big, the bed was comfortable and the staff was friendly and attentive. The biggest drawback was the noise. Our room was on the second floor overlooking the entrance foyer. From our room we could hear the phone ringing, conversations, all the activity outside when the hotel front doors were open. If you’re not a light sleeper and you’re looking for good value and good staff, stay here. Or maybe some ear plugs would do the trick.
Booked this property based on pictures via Expedia...was overall disappointed. Parking was a fiasco, however the Manger Jorge intervened, and we got a place. The property from the lobby is a quaint colonial building, however, the rooms were horrible. NO clock, radio, hangers, wash cloths, hand towels, hair dryer or tub mat....and the shower floor was extremely slippery, BUT...the kicker was NO TOILET SEAT!! And when I brought to the attention of the nice young gentleman at the desk, he couldn't believe it either. Really disappointed in this property. Bad Job Expedia!!
