Inside, the house is very quiet; stepping out front we were always greeted by melodic bird songs. It is a two minute walk to the Brest-Nantes canal with lovely walking paths on both sides, and a 5-10 minute walk to the center restaurants and boulangeries. "We have stayed in many french gites over the years, but this farmhouse in the grounds of a beautiful chateau is exceptional. The location, close to Malestroit and Ploermel was excellent for shopping and visiting the markets and many larger towns were less than 30 minutes away. Helene was a great host, who was friendly, informative and helpful. "We enjoyed our stay, the house was perfect for our needs. The big outside table sat us all easily. The kitchen had everything we needed. The children loved the swing in the garden. We didn't use the television, and the WiFi seemed to work fine (apart from in the downstairs bedroom). Small issue with shower was sorted promptly by owner.
