"We stayed in this hotel 10 years ago and it was incredible. We were concerned it had changed hands. At first we were disappointed. We were charged 10 euros per night to park our car!! The check in process was confusing as the only way we could contact the staff was by whatsapp. We warmed to the hotel - the breakfasts were excellent and the dinner very good"

"Lovely hotel. Our room had a little balcony with a great view over the water. Nice foyer sitting area with a pellet burning stove. There is an attached traditional bar and restaurant serving good cold dishes, but no hot meals. Excellent selection of cured meats and cheeses and their own label wine. Very good value."

"Great hotel in a fantastic location with wonderful views of the valley and griffon vultures circling above the cliffs opposite. No restaurant meals on Wednesday as the chef has a day off but the bar menu was a fine alternative. It's a bit tricky to reach the hotel as the village's roads a very narrow and steep but it's not a problem with a little care."

"Extremely comfortable place very well equipped - it's clear that much love has been invested in the renovation and furnishing of the cabaña- the photos don't do it justice. In an unspoilt location in the Valles Pasiegos. Perfect to watch nature and the weather passing by. Great spot to to explore the northern part of Burgos Province as well as the Valles Pasiegos. Peace, tranquility, nature, vultures, buzzards, short-toed snake eagles. Perfect. We loved it."

"Our room overlooked a noisy busy main road and there was a railway line behind the hotel. There was no air conditioning in our room. We were told the bar would not open until 8.30. We couldn't book a table in the restaurant because a coach party was booked in but if there was room they would try to fit us in. There were no alternatives within walking distance. The photos of the hotel are very misleading. I wouldn't be surprised if they had been photo-shopped!"

"The hotel is beautiful! On the river with the gurgle sound of the river to fall asleep to. Ana, who checked us in, was the most wonderful person you could ever imagine. So welcoming and kind. She also made the food for the breakfast banquet that is offered ! Trust me, you don’t want to miss that!"

"We had booked our stay in advance and when we arrived it was as if they were not even expecting us, upon booking in The young receptionist informed us we would be served our breakfast in our room, I did not argue this point until we had checked out our room. Once we had seen our room which had a large bed and a very nice bathroom I went back to reception and told the young lady that it would not be appropriate to be served breakfast in Our room as there were no chairs or a table and we would not be eating sat on the bed! She conceded and said oh ok you can eat in the dining room. This was a most bizarre situation and I think it was because we were the only people booked in to the hotel and they did not want to have open up the restaurant area just for us. A very disappointing stay as the hamlet and the hotel itself are gorgeous! On a good note the village bar/restaurant was lovely, very nice people and lovely food! "
